Wednesday Weigh In
Comments

Carole, Wow! Way to go!
-
Holding steady. But I'll take it today after yesterday's celebration of DD's 16th birthday.
-
Down 1.5....I guess it does help not to snack after supper
-
Down 0.4. Expect to continue that route. Accountability helps.
-
cdelv66- good luck tomorrow, speedy recovery to you
-
Down 2 to 132. After last week's horrific gain, I'm pleased.
cdelv, Take care tomorrow. Don't over do when you get home. We all did it and we all paid. Hugs.
-
thinking of you, cdelv!
-
Great attitude cdelv - wishing you a speedy recovery
Late checking in, no change in my weight from last week, still 161.5 Did try on a couple of bathing suits at the mall last week, what an incentive to not put food in your mouth!
-
Hi all,
I was down 1 lb yesterday but I've had several lapses in my portion control last week. I work a bizarre schedule sometimes working days, evenings and midnights. I tend to eat my way through the midnight shift. I have trouble exercising while working 28-32 hours a week. I started working to keep us above water...but I have little energy to exercise. I use to spend time at the gym. I need to add exercise here and there 15-20 minutes at a time. All of you are an inspiration to me thank you for sharing your stories. Sending warm wishes for a good week. Janice
-
Did not weigh yesterday, but weighed this morning. No change from last week. Not too surprising seeing that I had a final recon surgery on Monday, and cannot do any exercise for two weeks. So I'm really trying to be super aware of what goes into my mouth.
Janice, it must be hard to find the time to exercise working like you do. Best wishes to you.
Pat01, yes, maybe I should also start trying on swimsuits - LOL.
-
Sunbunny, we all have "lapses" but we just get up (off the couch) and start again. 15-20 minutes is lots more than most people so give youself a 'YAY' when you do and before long you will extend that time or fit it in to tiny slots you didn't think you had.
Need to take a full bottle of antidepressants before I try on a swimsuit! Okay, I do get in them for my aqua-jogging but refuse to look in the mirror.
-
Surgery went well yesterday and I was discharged this morning. I'm so glad it's over and now I can just focus on recovery and get back into a routine. Anxious to weigh in on Wednesday!
-
Should be a good weigh in with that little surgery boost! Glad everything went well.
-
Cdelv, glad that your surgery went well. You might have swelling that will alter your weight for a while. Don't worry about your weight right now. Eat healing foods and recover.
Carole, what a great week! Keep up the good work!
Sunbunny those schedules are hard. I don't know how you do it. Don't forget to try to get good sleep too. So many studies coming out about poor sleep and what it does to your health.
Swimsuits, hmm. I remember when I was young I owned about 8 different ones. Honestly. Swimsuits were like flip flops, a sign of summer and I looked good in them so I had a variety. Now I'm thrilled if I find one I kind of like!
I am down a half pound. After that long plateau I had, I'm glad to see a little weight loss happening. I'm not exactly sure what's working. I decided if I eat a bad meal (like mexican food at my favorite restaurant) that I will fast until dinner the next day and that seemed to work. I also started yoga ( less stress hormones?) and I gave up sweetener in my coffee (brain not confused whether its eating or not?). Not sure but excited to see a tiny weight loss here and there.
-
Good ww meeting today. Some good discussion with our group. I was down 1 lb. to 157.
Facing a challenge this week. A 5-day rv trip to Gulf Shores, AL. Hope to enjoy myself without going completely off my ww program.
-
132.0 and holding steady.
Cdelv, I hope you are doing well following surgery. Rest and heal. There is lots of time to address any weight issues after that.
-
Healing well...happy with the symmetry of the scars. Still have some swelling and these darn drains. Down 2 lbs all things considered...hope to get more active soon
-
119.6 lbs - about the same as last week. Going on vacation, leaving today and will be celebrating two family birthdays, so I will start working on that 5 lb weight loss goal sometime after Easter
-
Still the same, 161.5 for the third week in a row. Was hoping to see the scale move a little. A little down that is!
My first stab at mother of the groom dress shopping is this Saturday - I always try to dress the body I have at the moment, not the one I was hoping to have by wedding day, that way if I fall short, I still have something to wear that doesn't make me look like a stuffed sausage. And if a miracle happens and I lose the 11 lbs I had planned, well then I will have dress altered or go buy a new one!
Won't be checking in next Wednesday, as we will be in London visiting our youngest son. So I will see you in two weeks. Hope I don't gain as much this vacation as I did the last one.
-
Same, same, same. BUT...my pants are getting looser.
Now if the dumb scale would just catch up!!!
-
Didn't have time to weigh this morning, but will do so tomorrow (I can't now because I ate breakfast, drank a lot of coffee and am wearing clothes!
-
Up .5 to 132.5. Glad it's not worse.
-
Up 1 lb. - sure it must be that slice of chocolate cake! Hey, ruthbru, you didn't tell me to weigh without clothes. Bet it wasn't the cake but the clothes I chose today. Will remember for next week.
-
Ha! OF COURSE it was the clothes! I just logged into my long neglected loseit.com account.......
-
totally forgot it was Wednesday. What else is new. Don't feel lighter so hope I'm at least similar!
-
I also started, yesterday, back on loseit. Yesterday's count was over the top, I mean about double my allowed calorie count. Today I'm almost 400 calories under (and I still have to eat the cut fruit I already logged in). So it definitely helps. Can't be carrying this weight when you gals try and do me in on our trip!
-
Down ~3# since last check-in & i don't know what's happened to my usually robust appetite; yes i biked a lot while on vacation, but this is weird and a bit disconcerting.
cdev--glad your surgery is behind you!
-
Hope the swelling goes down soon, cdelv!
I'm the same as last week. Will be off for spring break soon so have to lose before then. This may call for drastic measures.
-
I gained back the pound I had lost last week. My drastic measures are to log on to loseit.com every day (which will make me record both calories and exercise), start eating breakfast again (I've been skipping it to have more calories later), have only a light lunch, and try, try, try not to snack in the evening!
-
I am down .2. In other words I was right that I'm pretty much the same. I'm thinking about only reporting in when I have something to report as my weight loss is going to be slow so you may not see me every Wednesday
