LCIS but need surgical biopsy to rule out ductal cancer..

Ok, I got the results! No cancer! "Only" the LCIS was found. I will probably have to follow up with the BS every six months but we'll see. I am so exhausted and still stunned. I'm so used to being in this state of fear. Wishing everyone good health!!!!!!!!!

Kayla--so happy no invasive bc found--wonderful news! with the combination of LCIS and very dense breasts, a yearly MRI would probably be a good idea for you. I just had my MRI last week and the results were all clear; also that I have no density; breasts almost completely fat (the one place I am actually happy to have fat!). Since I have no density, I could probably get away with just mammos , but since my risk is further elevated by my mom's history of ILC, I will probably just keep having MRIs too. It's another expense, but the peace of mind is worth it to me.

Thanks for everyone's replies - I think having MRI's for me is a good idea too - maybe even every 6 months? We shall see.

I'll probably be sticking around on these boards since I am considered high risk. I appreciate all of the support I've received here so far
