Feeling cold?
Anyone else feel cold more often than they did before treatment? I'm still getting Herceptin and am on Tamox. I don't think it's the Tamox for it was happening before I started it. Could it be the Herceptin? It will be nice for the summer when it's >100* here.

Have you had bloodwork lately? Anemia makes you feel cold all the time.

yea, i had it all done and it came back normal. hmmmm????

I am more than four years out from chemo and am noticeably colder than I was before BC. No idea why or how etc but I am a colder person. Brrrr!

Not as widely recognized as hot flashes, menopause (or hormone fluctuation) can cause you to have cold flashes. Hormones do regulate our body's thermostat. For that reason, I would not rule out the Tamoxifen, but it could be a number of things alone or in combination.

I'm always COLD! Have always been colder than most but since start of chemo I'm always COLD! It's been 4+ yrs and no better. Even during summer I always have to have at least a sweat shirt with me.
Lots of blood work and nothing gives any clue as to why I'm always so cold/low temps (high 95's - low 97's) consistantly though during chemo was usually much lower. I have issues with keeping my K (potassium) levels since chemo but can with mega doses daily but my Mg and Zn levels stay 'right' without suppliment. D and B levels also come into play as do some thyroid issues that can take some different testing.

I was always very hot. I hate the hot weather so I'm hoping it won't be so bad this summer :-) with being chilled. Perhaps it is my hormones since everything else, thyroid included, came back normal? I am taking some extra magnesium, calcium, and vit D along with my daily vitamins.

I grew up primarily in SW FL (Native) so I loved the cooler weather but still got cold easy. I've also lived in the many years since in the Great Pacific NorthWest, the northern Mojave Desert and the Black Hills area so I've experienced lots of different areas.
Just taking extra K, Mg or Zn is not an answer - they have to be in correct ratio - not just taking arbitrary ammounts.
