Is it normal to have a borderline temperature?

Options

Hello,

My mother has Stage 2B cancer.  She's been running a temp between 99 - 100.  Is this normal?

Thank you for all of your help.

I believe her temperature is independent of the cancer.  If she is having chemo, then a temperature rising to 100.5 ??(Not sure this is the threshold, my chemo was over 2 years ago.  How one forgets.) with a low white blood count is considered dangerous enough to call the MO for  instructions or antibiotics.

deelightful, we see in your other threads that your mother is currently undergoing chemotherapy, so a higher temperature sounds like something her oncologist would want to know about, to determine if that's appropriate for her. Has she (or you) reported the higher temperature?

Yes.  We've let them know.  They tell us to go to ER if it goes over 100.4.
