Came across this Asheboro, NC compression manufacturer/retail outlet while searching for Juzo's new spring hues! They have very low prices on their own brand if you're a standard size and don't mind "sand" as your only color choice. Free shipping in the USA.

The most unique item I noted was a sleeve that includes a velcro shoulder tab for only $36 (in regular or long, attached hand portion available for an extra $10) Fabric is polyamide with 15% lycra and cotton next to the skin for comfort. Might be a nice option for the person who doesn't care for a garment with a silicone band to keep it in place.

Their gauntlet is 80-20 nylon and spandex but the photo makes it appear to have full knuckle coverage, perhaps somewhat bulky for somebody with short fingers...

Reviews on their website date back to 2010 so they've been around for a few years. I would like to know if anyone has used their stuff.

vlnrph, do they say their products are medical grade, i.e. have gradient compression, and do they offer different compression levels?  I never heard of them, and of course I can answer my own questions when I have a few minutes, by looking at their website.  But if you're checking posts here and happen to know the answer, that would be interesting to note here.

vlnrph, they've been around longer than that, because we had a gal here, Swimangel72, who was wearing them in 2008. She still shows checks in at bc.org sometimes, though she hasn't posted here for a long time. You might PM her and hope she shows up to tell you if she's still using them. I'd be interested to hear, too, as I don' t think I've heard them mentioned since then.

    Thanks for bringing it up!

Rechecked the Ames Walker website to see that they have been in operation since 1997 and offer a 30 day exchange on their garments, 6 months if unworn/in original sealed package. There is an additional quantity discount when you order 3 of an item. I may go ahead and get a gauntlet since the old beige one I have is pretty ratty looking. (My purple Juzo is fun but I like to have a spare).

Compression range is mostly described as "firm" 20-30mm Hg=class II, for moderate to severe LE. It's the first place I've ever seen the graduation for a sleeve specifically listed as 27mm at wrist, 19mm forearm, and 16 around the bicep which is interesting. I did a search before starting the new topic and only got hits on people using walkers post-op, etc. Will PM swimangel also.
