Scabbing on year old Mastectomy site

Hi...I am in awe of the unity & support you all have for one another; hoping someone may enlighten me, & that I may return the favor...

I was 45yo when diagnosed; no family history; felt an intermittent, strong burning sensation in my right breast...felt a lump, & was diagnosed with DCIS & IDC; underwent a mastectomy in Feb. 2013, & pathology showed diffuse DCIS, 1.5cm IDC along with LCIS.  In July, I was finally able to sway my surgeon into a prophylactic left mastectomy, but was convinced something was there...& there was...albeit small, a 4mm tubular cancer and tissue "close" to being labeled LCIS.  

I healed well & have tissue expanders.  ~ 5 weeks ago I spontaneously developed mild redness with brown scabbing along the healed scarline of my right breast.  I have had no trauma to this area, & there is no drainage.  My whole "breast area" has become "achy".  I tried routine application of hydrocortisone cream with no worsening or improvement.  Now 1 yr post mastectomy, I am a bit concerned...the plastic surgeon did a punch biopsy today, but has never seen this before.  

Anyone out there with any similar circumstances?  I thank you in advance...

    Mamacita, I don't have experience with this but your PS is doing the right thing with the biopsy. After you get results on that I'm sure s/he'll either deal with the issue or send you to the right person to help you.
