Lotion after radiation treatment ends

Options

Hello all :)

I was wondering what lotion any of you have used/ are using after radiation treatment. I used aloe Vera and aquafor during rads but those are both pretty sticky. I have some jergens ultra healing lotion but didn't know if it would be safe to use. Are there certain ingredients I should be avoiding? My skin looks ok, the redness is fading but it's kind of dry. Thanks for reading this.

I'm almost done, and when I met with the RO yesterday, she said once treatment was done I could use any lotion I wanted, but the goopier and oilier the better (!). She said hydrocortisone cream for itching, aquaphor or something greasy. Some ladies use emu oil. I haven't looked for it yet, but I might. I have some jojoba oil I've used on my nonradiated side for moisture, as its been dry too.

I think all the docs have different suggestion

I used Glaxal Base cream during and after radiation. Ive been happy with it, it's pretty moisturizing and doesn't feel goopy. It's unscented and I haven't reacted to it. This is what I was told to use during and after my treatment by my RO.

Another vote for Glaxalbase. Used during and after. I also used polysporin for a few days when I blistered. Very soothing!

I used pure shea butter.  Can't say enough good things about the healing properties.  Loved it.
