hi, I had FEC and then D. For me (and everyone is different) the FEC was much easier. Everyone advised to take the anti nausea RX every four hours whether I felt I needed it or not-so I did and did not feel bad at all! Apparently the nausea is harder to curtail once it starts so it's better to be proactive. I also rinsed my mouth with a combination of salt and baking soda as often as possible and only experienced mild mouth "irritation", more like thrush. Drink,drink,drink-water! It's important to flush the kidneys as FEC can be hard on them. I really couldn't stomach water, for some reason it made me feel a bit nauseated, so started making my own soda water (soda stream maker =no salt) and drank probably 4 litres a day. Most women report craving "white" food-mashed potatoes, rice, bread etc. but for me it was the opposite. I craved spicy food and ate it with no problems, I guess I needed to taste things, as it does a number on your taste buds! The first day of infusion I really needed the help of someone to drive me. I felt very "spacey" and unable to mentally focus. This only lasted 3 days until next TX. I also had quite a lot of problems with getting styes in my eyes-yuck! A lot of women experience watery eyes-again I didn't and almost felt they were dry even after using eye drops. I wish I could say the same for my nose! Loosing your nose hair (yeah! One less thing to check!) left me with a very runny nose=always had tissue with me. I also experienced the tiredness every one gets. I would have my TX on we'd. And took Thursday and Friday off so I had  4 days to recoup, for me this was enough and looked forward to getting back to my normal routine. Good luck with your tx, remember chemo is your friend and great to have on your side! If I can answer anything else, let me know.
