Today is been one year, since i lost my neighbor and good friend Lois Jackson, from this disease. 3o years before, she was diagnosed and did bilaterallymastectomy, and was good till about 6 years before she died, when they did all kinds of treatments etc for her. She was such a sweet and giving woman, and i have never seen so many people crying at a service, before. i still miss of her and think of her almost every day, and it was only a few weeks ago, that i could think of her, and actually smile. i had gotten the call, when i was getting dressed to go to radiation. i don't know how i made it there, and the ladies there were so nice to me. it was a rainy day, and i remember this strange sensation, of lymph fluid feeling like it was running down the inside of my right trunk, and i had never felt that before, and i thought; my whole body is crying. as tears rolled down my face. in my life, you have never seen such a sad neighborhood, she was very well loved. and we have all kind of adopted her husband, and make sure that he does not get lonely, but he is a very busy man, as he is an emergency room doctor, but extremely kind himself, and never makes you feel as if you are taking up his time too much. He told me that Lois made him promise to watch out for me, and another woman karen, and so he does. I told him, i wouldnt hold him to it, but i think it was lois' way, of making sure he talked with us! So, i have to believe that she has found veggy, and they are havin a good ol time, chattering to one another, and rooting for all of us....

Kathy,
Big hugs! I lost my neighbor and dear friend almost two years ago to vaginal cancer. She was the best grandma my kids had and a dear frien to DH and I. I know what you are feeling and it hurts. I had my MX on the one year anniversary of her passing, not intentionally, but I know she was with me making sure the docs did their very best. We take care of her husband now too! He just turned 83 and is full of hell!
So sorry for your loss. This effing disease leaves so much destruction and sorrow in its path :0(

thankyou..... you are all tremendous, and there is no way, i could have done any of this without your sweet selves. GO, Veggy!
