We've tried to reset the pin for this and other threads, with no luck so far. We'll be sure the techs know about this glitch again, and hope to have all the pinned threads back where they belong!

I had a discussion with Fumi about this today.  I thought since the Central Address Book thread is in the Stage IV Only forum that it was for the Stage IV ladies only.  Fumi says it's for anyone and everyone who would like to add their name and contact information - no matter what your stage or diagnosis.  Just wanted to clarify that for the new ladies...

Really? Fumi can you clarify? There are over 100,000 people on this site now, and any of them, after 20 posts, can have access to our personal information?

Just because people meet the requirement I posted in the first post doesn't mean they can be automatically given access. It's just a minimum requirement and what matters the most is what people has said in their posts. I haven't given anyone access without reading their posts. Unless I am 100% sure they really are one of us and they are legit enough to understand what they can do and what they shouldn't do with the information posted on my site, I won't give them access. Plus every single IP address is registered to the system so I know who attempts to get on the list from where. If I ever found anyone fishy, I would change the password and immediately ban them.

Thank you for the clarification NoWhereGirl... really appreciate you taking the time to outline your security measures for us. Hope all is well with you.

I came across this link on another thread but am wondering if this was posted anywhere outside of the Stage IV forum  (if you are still including others who are not stage IV). If not, I think it would be helpful if posted in a general info forum.

I posted this on "Moving Beyond Cancer" forum a long time ago and it's been pinned since then. :)

Wondering if I can now be considered to be added yet? I'm over 40 posts now, but I don't post that often, so I understand if I might not be ready yet to join.

    Thanks!

    longtermsurvivor,

The central address book is not part of bco. It is/was maintained by a member, Nowheregirl (Fumi). Ido not know if she is still actively involved in this, but a pm to her might help.

I am still taking care of this. Please read the directions in my first post in this thread and PM me if you meet the requirements.

The link is dead. Does the address book not exist any more?

Moth - Nowheregirl has not been responsive since January 2019. People on the boards who 'knew' her tried to track her down, but last I heard no one was successful and everyone feared the worst.
