    Soriya,

The best curcumin to take is one that also has bioperine (pepper) in it for better absorption. If you use turmeric in your food, add black pepper also for it to work better.

I am taking LifeEssence (a multivitamin and it comes in  240 tablets.  Tablets are big and I take three a day (four a day recommended.)  $53  a bottle through Swanson's vitamins.   Does not contain gluten, GMOs, sugar, soy, yeast, dairy or wheat.  It says there is 1 mg of naturally occurring iron present in the food base found in the vitamin.  I used to take the New Chapter's multivitamin for woman over 50, and that was a smaller tablet. That is a good kind - specific to women.  Last April I quit all of my vitamins and supplements that I had been taking including Tumeric Force....and four months later I had the partial masectomy, and extensive nipple biopsies due to the lobular carcinoma in sito, and the inverted nipple.  I went back on the vitamins within days of the surgery and I've been on them since.  Maybe I fear that if I go off, it will come back.  Had a scare, 6 months later, but this week the biopsy determined it was a cyst.  I am very grateful.

    Hi everyone,

I found another article regarding antioxidants and how they fuel cancer cells. Vitamin E and beta carotene are mentioned in the article causing harm to cancer patients and spreading their cancer. Please check your vitamins to see exactly what vitamins are in there and if they are more than 100% of daily recommended dose.

I take VitaFusion adult gummy multivites, and my MO says that’s fine. A little iron is good, as I have a tendency toward anemia. I also take calcium and 2000 IU of D3, plus biotin and chelated magnesium (to keep nighttime foot and shin cramps at bay). But on her advice I discontinued my vit. C gummies, as well as Co-Q10, Mega-Red krill oil, alpha-lipoic acid and echinacea, at least during rads. The whole point of radiation (and chemo, for those receiving it) is to promote cell damage--and antioxidants like those I mentioned prevent cell damage since they mop up the free radicals that cause oxidative damage. Just as radiation and chemo can’t target only the cancer cells and leave the normal ones alone, antioxidants can’t protect only the normal cells and leave the cancer cells vulnerable to free radicals.

Paradoxically, those same antioxidants can help prevent the DNA damage that triggers tumor formation--but ONLY in people without cancer. Once the boat has sailed, however, by protecting ALL your cells they can prevent adjuvant treatments from damaging and killing the malignant ones.
