tykerb v herceptin

Looking for some experience.  I have been on herceptin with perjeta since Sept 2013.  Last muga scan dropped to 40 and recommendation is to stop herceptin.  Did some research and tykerb not as caustic for heart.  Couple of questions...anyone else taken off herceptin due to heart damage?  what was alternative?  anyone on tykerb as a result and not having heart issues?  Feedback welcomed.     I have been on Herceptin now for over 5 1/2 years with no issue.   I did a year of Tykerb with the Herceptin in 2009.   It wasn't terrible.   Biggest issues for me where issues with my finger tips splitting .. very painful.  Also terrible fingernail and toe nail issues  I had two ingrown toe nails that needed surgery. I had a little bit of the Tykerb acne on my arms but not terrible. Toward the end of the year I was very sensitive to warmth .. .like warm sun rays made me itch and warm water .. showers or baths.   I had a bit of diarrhea when I started but got under control with some supplements.   Again, it wasn't awful.   My fingertip issues where my biggest complaint.
