I googled her and she is highly respected.  She's been doing this a very long time.  She reportedly is very compassionate.

I would be comfortable having her as my doctor based on everything I've just read.  Good luck!

Yes!  She is my BS.  My story is a convoluted one, but I was originally dx'ed with DCIS.  She spent over an hour with my husband and me, answering all my questions (I had a lot- came to the appt w/ a folder of medical research papers!)

I found her to be extremely sensitive and compassionate.  She did not rush me.  She even arranged for a same day appt with a plastic surgeon she often teams up with, to discuss reconstruction options.

She also had my original needle biopsy slides reanalyzed at NYU and I got downgraded to ADH.  Very good news.  She did the excisional biopsy and everything came back clean-- all ADH removed by the prior needle biopsy.

I will say that now that I am only high risk and the situation is not quite as serious as we first thought, she seems a lot less interested in me, but that's fine.  She is no nonsense and I totally trust her.

Feel free to PM me if you want more info.

    Best wishes,

    Momo

December Ladies - Did any of you have lifting of nails? MO says he thinks they will grow out okay, but one of my thumb nails seems to be lifting. It looks like the nail is pulling away from the side. Any suggestions? Will tea tree oil help or is that just to help prevent infection?

It looks like my BMX will be on April 7th unless there is a cancellation, and I can get in earlier. This is a little over 6 weeks past my last chemo (February 21st). My BS says this is about as long as the MO wants the surgery to be done, but that is earliest everyone is available. Should I be worried about that? As if I can change it, right?

On a positive note, the MO and BS said they can no longer feel the tumor. That is a prayer answered. I am praying for the same for all my BC sisters on this forum and everywhere around the world!!!
