Mo…in your pockets, too…hope you like agates they do not leave any crumbs. Will be waiting for results. I feel confident, that your Dr would not give you false hope.
Ah, today is shower day, and I can peek at the scars, again…but it is all good.
Edi…enjoy your outing. If you are like me, when I make a cake, the whole kitchen is a mess. I cannot contain things to one area.
DH fixed my coffee this AM…and I drank every drop! Time to start the day!

I am honored to present Liefie's new granddaughter, Emily Anne! Welcome to the world, dear baby!

-
Beautiful, Emily Anne…welcome to a world filled with love for you!
-
Hi :-D
What a gorgeous baby !! Thank you Elizabeth, Liefie and Dh will be spellbound.
-
simply beautiful !!!
-
liefie - such a precious little bundle - bet you can't wait to hold her!! So perfectly beautiful.
-
Beautiful baby girl and beautiful names!
Just got back from my scan: very nice tech and doctor (this time!!!). Doc wasn't overly excited about my lumpie, but says the only to be certain is to biopsy it, so booked for March 12.
Ho hum.
-
Morwenna...Ho hum is right. But if he wasn't overly excited about it, that is a good thing. In my case, both times, they said yep…Sorry! So I drove myself home in shock. So glad your DH was with you today. Try not to worry. I truly believe it is B9
-
thank you, selizabeth - beautiful baby girl, Liefie - I am thinking you must be close to being there now, so special, take lots of pictures!
Momof2 - progress
Mo - takes it's toll, doesn't it? I hope that you can put it to the side until March 12, enjoy your weekend, glad DH can support you while you wait - glad doc wasn't overly excited, trusting for benign
-
Emily....is one beautiful little girl...!!! Congrats to liefie and family. Bet there'll be lots of cuddles and hugs this weekend. Thanks for posting it sbe..you should post more on this thread...you'd be a great addition.
Mo...glad that hubby was with you....sorry it wasn't a definite answer, but "not excited" is good, right??!! Stay busy, the biopsy will get here, then you can put this latest pothole to rest and get on with things.
momof2....hope shower day goes well. No reason it shouldn't.
edi....bet the cake turns out wonderfully....enjoy the get together with your friends.
As the rest of the Calgary gang can attest, it's cold enough to freeze the ****s off a brass monkey this weekend....spring will be a time of celebration and relief, if it ever gets here. Windchills in the -40's predicted for tonight and tomorrow. (sob)
-
Nihahi…have your ever thought of becoming a meteorologist ? How do you survive in such frigid temps? In the South the school buses will not run when it gets into the low teens or single digits (F scale) because the diesel fuel become thick. But in the summer, we have the HEAT!!
-
Not excited is definitely a good thing! He just explained that it was the only real way to tell, except maybe wait three months and see if it spread, which none of us really felt was the ideal plan!
The other really wise thing he said, which I am going to try to take on board, is that while being vigilant is excellent, to try not to feel for lumps like every day in the shower, but weekly or biweekly or more is better because then you actually notice "change", while if you check daily, and things change gradually it may not be so obvious.
I was so pleased with the staff today, him and the tech. Last time I went I found them less than sympathetic to say the least!
-
Hi
,
Morwenna please be positive about the outcome I had such a similar experience honestly, Doctor was so sure all ok, I doubted him but he was right
.I got the same advice re not examining as often, really have to stop myself but lot more relaxed now.
Bet Liefie has been on cloud nine with beautiful Emily, such a cutie.
Just got back from Birthday meal for my friends son and it was so lovely to eat almost everything without feeling guilty at leaving most of it. Tiredness lifting day by day and to top the lot the awful pain I have had in my bones for months appears to have gone !! Don't know why but not arguing.
Picture of my latest cake for my friends son .At last I really enjoyed doing a cake again. He loved it and has vowed to keep it for ever.
Crossing everything that life is getting back to normal at last.Hope you are all the same, X
-
Oh Edi…how I wish you were on this side of the "pond" so we could bake cakes together. I cannot do the fondant, but I do like to do the icing flowers.
Really outstanding job!
-
Hi
,Sun is shining
9.30 am here, yesterday had a wonderful lunch with friends and a good catch up. Shedman didn't come but it was because his poor wife had a Vand D bug. Hope he doesnt get it.
There is nothing like good food and good friends.Momof, I too wish the world was smaller. I would cover and you could do the flowers, I tend to make funny cakes as flowers and me don't go well. I am too impatient and love to model the fondant into anything people want on a cake. The wife of the gentleman I made the one above for, wants me to set up a business as she reckons I could clean up financially especially in London where they live. Watch this space.
How are the wedding preps going ? Hope you are feeling well XMowenna, hope your weekend not too stressful for you, sending out Reiki to you and the lumps and bumps. Mine are going down a little which I didn't expect.
XLiefie, are you back yet ? If so need to skype.
Nihahi, how is your weather now ? Told DH the temp where you are and he just looked gobsmacked ( no change there then ) his words were " how does anyone function at those temps ? " Don't think he will be an eskimo in the next life somehow. So wish spring would come very soon for you in your beautiful part of the world. X
Websister, hope you are feeling well and work not too stressful. Benny looks as if she is a busy lady according to F/B she is one feisty lady. Wonderful to see her spirit.X
Rest of you girls, in my thoughts and my heart as always. Must go and get smartened up ,out for a run in the car and maybe a brisk walk along a promenade somewhere.

Monday's giggle X
-
love it !!!!
-
Love it too…so true
-
Hi girls, just a quick one it is Maria's birthday :-D
Know those of you on F/B will have been told.
-
Happy Birthday Maria! xx
-
happy birthday Maria !!!!!

-
Happy Birthday, Maria!
Weather here is trying to warm up a bit but still very cold, this weekend though we are supposed to get up to 10C so it will be a big change, lots of melting - hoping the temperature stays above zero for a good long while after the weekend,
My cold is gradually leaving - I returned to work yesterday and I am right back in the thick of things again, lots of meetings and requests to follow up on - never stops
Two of my boys have birthdays next week - 14th and 16th - ordered a joint cake for them today - wish I had you here to order it from Edi

I am also working on my grandson's birthday present for end of April - he is really into dinosaurs and volcanoes - I have found a fold out playmat pattern that I am making - it folds up into a volcano with the carry straps in red coming out of the top - when it is opened out it is a square with a miniature volcano in the middle, pond, grass, trees etc to play with plastic dinosaurs on. I bought a bin of plastic dinosaurs and have given myself lots of time to get the project done - looking forward to his reaction when he receives it
Benny and I plan to meet up on Thursday for a quick coffee, she is very involved in her causes, love her passion for animals
Morwenna - continue to think of you, tonight will be your singing group to help occupy your mind.
Everyone else, hope all is well - looking forward to hearing from Liefie soon again so we can hear all the baby news
-
Thanks Websister,
still feeling somewhat nauseous, but I nearly wiped myself out trying to cross Centre Street today, ..... I guess I wouldn't have had to worry about recurrence if I had!!
sorry, not funny.I had to get myself home and eat a bar of chocolate and two cups of tea before I could get over that near miss. Hope nobody got my license number to report me for driving without due care and attention, because it was totally my fault!!
Had a phone call this evening from my hematologist's nurse. I had to chase up what was happening because I've been anticoagulated for a year now, and I'm hoping I can come off. Turns out the plan was supposed to be that I was reviewed every two months after my July appt! Well, I must have missed that gem, anyway I never received any appointments, but my platelets are apparently behaving (I've been on monthly checks) so maybe I can come off ALL meds very soon!
Ok, off to sing. I'll try not to kill myself or anyone else on the drive. More snow forecast for tonight and the next two days before the "warm-up" !!
(((huggs))) to all xxx
-
I'm obviously about 8 light years behind on this thread.
Maria...happy birthday.
edi....you're sounding lovely.....great cake!!!!
websister....say "hi" to Benny for me. Enjoy the coffeetime.
morwenna.......sheesh....BE CAREFUL GIRL!!!!!! Proof perhaps that you are a bit more distracted than you think you are.....deep breath, more chocolate.....enjoy the singing.
I'm absolutely fed up with the weather, so am heading up to the mountains tomorrow. Supposedly, the warm temps have arrived there....I'm going to test that theory!!!! Wish me luck.
-
Hi, so lovely to log on and see activity.
Great that we are moving on and busy.
Morwenna , stay safe. All will be ok. Choir last night for me too, I was tired and almost didnt go but so glad I did. We are doing a celebration of 100 years since WW 1 and songs are very uplifting.
Websister, take it easy at work lovely cold is lifting. Would love to see the play mat when you finish it. Sounds fantastic.Love to Benny have a late for me.
Nihahi, with you when you head to the hills.would so love to join you for a proper chat.
Dakota, how is cockroach situation ?
Please excuse paragraphs and strange printing. Must have presses wrong button. Need to ask one of GD'd to sort it !!
Love and hugs all.

Hi all...just popping in to say "Hello".....glad to see life is moving along.....even if there are hiccups every now and again!
spring is trying to happen here in the Pacific Northwest.....my wild plum tree in the backyard is blooming already, and I can smell the Daphne on the breeze when I walk.
Had a bit of a hiccup yesterday...must have had a small seroma that built up just near my bellybutton.....it burst last night, and I was on the phone to the PS at 10 pm.....didn't have any pain, and no redness.....just...gunk....yuk! A trip clear across town to see him, and a syringe later...I have to bathe it with Hydrogen Peroxide when I shower.....fun times....
Websister...hope your cold leaves you soon.....it does get old, doesn't it?
Morwenna, thinking of you......
Nihahi....don't freeze your hiney off up in the mountains!
Edi.....you totally SHOULD be making $ (don't have a Pound sign) creating your beautiful cakes!
to everyone else....(((Hugs)))
-
Hi Ladies,
Went to my PS today..things are looking good..LOL Before I left for the appointment, I asked DH if I could have my "eyes" done by the PS. DH says of course!! So now I am getting rid of droopy lids and puffy bags! So another surgery, but hey, who's counting
Getting my energy back..I finished one set of drapes for Keiko Cottage, kitchen…now to move to the next room. Went out to buy more thread tonight…Outrageous!! They downsized the spool, and the price is $4.95 for thread! Thank heavens it was Senior Day and I got a 15% discount. Ah, the joy of being old.
Stay safe Mo, and gosh I hope it warms up soon!

Cabin fever abated today!!! The warmer temps have reached the mountains!!!!! It dumped snow on us the whole day, but it was just heavenly being back on the ski trails. Nothing but fun and smiles and gorgeous scenery. We are going back again on Friday!!!!!
This is what 13 days until Spring looks like in the Canadian Rockies.

Hi everybody, it's almost 12, and I'm in bed, but just want to thank you all for the well wishes. Emily is one week old today. She is so easy, feeding is going well, she sleeps a lot, and DD and I are having such a good visit. I lost my heart to that little person, and I don't know how I will say good bye to her on Sunday. She's so tiny, so adorable, so innocent, defenceless, smells so nice. The little face is changing every day, and I don't want to miss it. DD is a calm, quiet person, and I'm amazed at how well she 's coping.
She's a loving, patient mother. SIL is still starstruck. Just want to say I'm reading posts, but really busy with visitors, cooking, cleaning, and just being with little Em, as her dad calls her. Wishing you all well as it is time to sleep.

Nothing cute and cuddley from today's ski.....unless you're a momma moose!
