I will be starting Adriamycin either this Thursday or next.  Doesn't sound too pleasant!  I am so sorry you are going through this.  I had Carboplatin, taxotere,  and Herceptin last June.  It was so bad that I wound up at the hospital and I have no memory of 6 days of my life!  My MO then put me on weekly taxol and I had no problems, however it didn't get rid of the cancer.  I had a BMx in January.  Do you take pre treatment meds?  Steroids or anything?  Just wondering so I know what to expect!  I hope you feel better soon!  Gentle {{{}}} for you. Blondie, arrrg, the horrific "red devil". I had 4 dose dense treatments last year. I was very weak, struggled to eat. I just focused on getting through the day, I spent hours in bed because it was more comfortable then the recliner.

I did not get tremors and I was able to stay on schedule, so I was thankful for that. I hope you have some pain & sleep meds. Lots of weak tea and soup. Hoping for you that it gets easier & you are able to complete this chemo. I did have good days in between the treatments. That changed towards the end.

I did 4 DD A/C (Adriamycin and Cytoxan) neoadjuvant in '09 and it was real easy for me.  I did occasionally getmanlittle tired bur a nap took care of that.  Of course, hair went 'bye-bye' and I did loose all sense of taste and smell and appetite.  But all in all itnwasn't bad at all.  Taxol, on the other hand, put me either in bed or on the couch completely and utterly exhausted for the entire12 weekly doses of it adjuvant.

We are each so unique, there is no way to predict how any of us will react.  Certainly, there are many who have the reverse reactiona to the different chemos than I did.

For me, the A/C, showed it was working when I went in for the second infusion.  Could feel it forming a lump. IBC is different than the other types as it does not form in a 'lump' but in 'nests'or 'bands' so the neoadjuvant chemo is used to get it to form a lump with margins (and shrink).
