Thanks Wonderland, Callie was unique. Very smart for a cat, she would keep me company when I worked around the house and outside in the garden. One day I was on my way to work and heard her meowing from the back of the car - thought she wanted to spend the day with me!

The best thing I ever bought at a rummage sale was

This amazing clock, it was in a box, behind a table, and i asked the lady how much. 10 dollars. it was old, and had exquisite inlay and delicate hands. it was cast bronze, of a young woman playing a lute. later i sold it to an antique clock shop for $500. i still miss her.

My next door neighbor always used to have a big rummage sale in the summer. She had a son a couple years older than mine, and never good taste......so she let me come over early, dig through the boys clothes & get all sorts of almost new, designer label clothes for DS.
The neatest true antique I ever got (or was given) is....

...an extrmely cool gold and amethyst necklace. it is called a memento mori. it has a lock of hair in it, from my freind's great great grandmother. they were a type of mourning jewelry that people would wear. my friend died without having any children, and we truly loved and enjoyed one another. she passed in 2011 from lung cancer that went to her brain, and i was her end of life caregiver. i miss her still.
