    Nihahi,

Burrrr I had to do a conversion to F to understand…that is way too cold. You must have some very warm constructed homes.

Our high in Athens will be 20 C… I have an extra room if you want to visit

    hi ,

Nihahi, gosh can't believe the temperature where you are HOW on earth do you survive, like mom says you must have brilliant houses, heat wise. Keep safe and keep drinking the coffee.

Liefie, you too with the snow, good reason to keep cosy and watch TV. I have a feeling the baba will be a girl. can't wait to see if I am right.

Back pain I feel for you, I find long hot soak works wonders as for mouth ulcers OUCH  Totally horrid. Try baking soda and warm water mouth wash, may help. ((( hugs ))).

Morwenna, dragon ladies sound like fun! sorry you were sad though  Real roller coaster this journey is.

DD and GD didn't appear yesterday as DD fractured her finger whilst pushing GD on a swing in the park.SIL twisted the chains to give it a spin and her left index finger was smashed. ( dick head ) poor DD has had to drive miles to a meeting with It in a splint and it is a manual change car .

Bit of nice news today, I rang BC nurse re bone scan results and she just got back to me full of apologies that I hadn't been told before now ,ALL clear. some changes in spine due to old age YAY and maybe pre arthritic. no sign of mets. God is good and I am thankful. bless you all for caring.

spent an hour tidying front garden, it is looking good considering the yucky weather we have had.

hope you can all see your yards soon.

DH sitting with heat lamp on his bad back, wish I could send you a picture, not a pretty sight  he he.

Needless to say I am feeling a lot happier, amazing what worry does to your spirit.

Need to go and strip meat of yesterday's roast chicken, chicken and mushroom risotto with peas and corn tonight.

Love to all not mentioned, in my heart and thoughts always. X

Edi, YAYYYYY on the bone scan results! So happy for you! Yes, for some reason I'm also thinking it is a girl. That's what I want, not that my opinion will make any difference - it will be what it will be. As long as the baby is normal and healthy, eh? Tell DH I have such sympathy with him re the sore back - ouch. Hope DD's finger will heal soon.

Nihahi, that is soooo cold! It is snowing here again, but we have a 'toasty' 4 degrees in comparison to you. If my grandchild arrives now, he/she may want to crawl right back . . . LOL.

Thanks for everybody's advice re mouthsores. Never during chemo has my mouth been as sore as these last few days. DH thinks it's a viral infection that he may have brought from the clinic, and is scared that I may get shingles, so I'm taking an antiviral med. Feeling a little better, but eating still not so enjoyable. Which is a very good thing. LOL. Back also better, but doubt if I can do strength training and yoga this week. Will just walk on the treadclimber to get some exercise. Last week in Calgary I slept on a blow-up air mattress on a cold tiled floor when I visited with the kids. They did offer me their bed which I refused. They have to work, and need their rest. We think that is where this sore back comes from. Sometimes I forget that I'm pushing 60, and not 16. Hahahaaa!

Oh Edi....I am SO relieved to hear your very good news!  I am sure that a huge weight was lifted off your shoulders........by the way, do you think if I left now, I could make it to your place in time for supper?

Judi...it's too cold where you are....think I will stay in wet, rainy Portland!  Stay war, ALL you Calgary-area-ites....brrrrrrrrrrr

Liefie, same goes for YOU!  Stay warm!  Have you tired warm salt-water on those mouth sores?   (And tell DH to take a de-"bugging" shower BEFORE he comes home.....

I know I am missing most everyone, but I DO think of all of you every day.....this past week and a half has just been really hard.....

I hope everyone is doing well....My love to all....

    XO

Edi ...Well, Yippee Doo!! on the bone scan. It is awful waiting so long…but I had a feeling that no news was good news. So happy for you..I am sure that it feels like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders. That is terrible about your DD finger, especially how it happened. Hopefully the splint will allow it to heal properly and the pain will ease.

Liefie…I have no advise of the mouth sores. I did buy some toothpaste and mouthwash before chemo that was suppose to be good in case I developed them..it is called Biotene…it does not contain alcohol. I had to throw the toothpaste away after chemo…could not stand to look at it..I wanted my regular Crest! Funny how there are certain things, smells, food, even music, that I do not want to have because it reminds me of the last few months.

Any of us old enough to take the shingles vaccine (in my case >60), please get the vaccine. That was the first thing I requested for my birthday, after I got diagnosed with another BC tumor. My oldest brother almost died from a case of West Nile virus last year, then broke out in shingles. It has permanently compromised his health. So I made a decision to get the vaccine ASAP.

Movie…good to hear from you. My contractor in Yachats finally got the building permit to build a front porch with a roof…so things are moving fast on the coast. The kitchen is finished and the 2 guest bedrooms have new windows and paint. Still have some painting projects that DH and I plan to do, but Keiko Cottage is really having a transformation. I will be so happy to get to the Coast and hopefully have some guests come to visit…hint, hint.

    Websister…hope you are feeling better.

2 more days until I get these inter tubes removed.

Have a safe, warm, and productive day..to all.

    Help.

On Sunday I  discovered a little nodule, lemon pip size and hardness, that feels like is on my chest wall close to, but not part of, my mastectomy scar. It's definitely not in the skin. There is also a mobile, nickel sized lump just behind the inferior margin of my pectoral muscle.

I'm finding it hard to function. I'm seeing a doctor at bc supportive care tomorrow, but how do I breathe til then. I haven't told DH. He is due to fly back to UK March 9, to visit his 91 yr old mum for 2 weeks. He must see her, and I don't want to spoil his trip, but can I do this alone.

I'm back to fulltime work this week, and people keep asking how I'm doing! I feel like I'm planning my funeral!

Oh no, Morwenna! Try to do slow yoga breathing to help you calm down, and relax a little. So sorry to hear that you are going through this waiting game again, but so happy that you can be seen tomorrow, and get this behind you. Maybe try to stay busy - bake something, clean the house, play the piano, practise your singing, go for coffee . . . anything just to prevent your thoughts from going THERE. No use to worry until you really have something to worry about. No funeral talk - there are no hard facts yet, and even so there is so much that can be done. Maybe tell DH if he is anything like mine. Mine would be furious if I would not tell him. He is your partner who is supposed to support you through anything and everything, and I'm sure he wants to do just that. BIG HUGS to you! (((((((Morwenna))))))))

I guess I shall probably end up telling him if the doc tomorrow thinks there is something to worry about.

As for keeping busy, I'm working, and texting from my phone between visits today ;p

and tonight I have chorus. It's good to be distracted!

    I'll keep you posted.

Thanks everyone. I do feel better for having been able to let loose here. Less panicked.

    Deep breaths until tomorrow!

I love DH to bits, but sometimes I wish he would be a little more the take charge person. He's kinda like a deer in the headlights when it comes to hospital stuff! Bless his little cotton socks!! xxx

    hi

Morwenna, just logged on and saw your post. Dear friend take the advice from these lovely warrior sisters please.

Hope that like my lump a while back it is maybe rads damage ? But as they say keep busy and we will all be with you tomorrow. I know how easy it is to slide into despair but don't worry until you have a valid reason and hopefully that will never happen.XX

Mo.......Just got home and read the messages. I am so sorry you are dealing with this "worry and fear". The best news was to read that you have an appointment for tomorrow. I understand how fear becomes the dominant emotion, and it would be shallow of me to say "don't worry", but can I join in with liefie and encourage you to fight going "all the way to the dark side" with your thoughts.

Yes, I think you need to tell hubby, and I doubt if he doesn't realize something is upsetting you soon, anyway. Try to keep busy...doesn't have to be with anything important....just a way to help get through the time.

I am done with my other commitments on Monday, so I am available from Tuesday on, for coffee, company to appts., whatever.

hugs, big giant hugs and prayers going out to you!

Morwenna - just can't imagine what you are going through right now - Thoughts and prayers are with you and like everyone else suggests -  I would definitely share with your husband - you shouldn't have to go through the anxiety alone. In your pocket tomorrow!

Edi - great news on the bone scan results, must be a big relief for you.
