Fibromyalgia and pain

Just curious if there are others with fibromyalgia on here.  I had my lumpectomy on 2-17-14 with 2 sentinel nodes removed and I am experiencing extreme sensitivity to the affected and surrounding skin.

Good morning SoVeryBlessed!  I love your name.  Like the Moderators said, there is another thread but I wanted to answer your question since you posted it here.

It's only been a week since your surgery.  There may be some nerves that got bruised or cut.  It's not unusual to have sensitivity.  I know I did and I don't think it had anything to do with my having fibromyalgia.  It didn't put me into flare.  The skin is still a sensitive "numb", I can feel pressure under the arm but it's not the same as before.  The surgeon told me that he may have cut a small nerve and that the feeling may never return to normal.

Give yourself time to heal and stick around on these boards.  There are lots of wise, funny and compassionate folks here.  ((Gentle hugs.)) corky60
