Pregnancy-related BC (post-partum ~5yrs, breastfeeding)

Hi,

I'm recently diagnosed Stage 3B, HER2+ coming off of pregnancy and breastfeeding going back to 2006 (and beyond). I feel that my cancer is related to the physical process of mothering and Chinese medicine so far agrees with me about how I got here.

I came across some other breastfeeding and pregnant moms here and was hoping to connect more.

Today I found this article that aligns with what I have suspected, that it is connected.

I didn't see any related discussion topics on this matter and it would be interesting to compare notes.

I found my lump when I had weaned my daughter. But I'm BRCA1+ too. The article is interesting but obviously there is very little research. I bet it's hard enough to find young women with BC for research not to mention postpartum or lactating women with BC. My RO said they get very few young women there. So this would be a sub group of already a very small group.

The Leading researchers of pregnancy related breast cancer are Dr Schedin and Borges of University of Colorado, if you google them you can find their research.
