What to do and where to go??

Last year I went though two lumpectomies and a breast reduction and have been taking Tamoxifen for the last 9 months.

I found a lump in the side where I had the reduction .... I really don't want to think that's it's anything and I feel that I'm in denial and don't want to get it checked out!!!

If I was to see a doctor ..... Which one would I call for an appointment ??

I have two trips planned ( and paid for ) already ..... One next month and one in June. And I'm thinking if I go to the doctor and they find anything then ......  I will have to have a mastectomy because there isn't much left to work with :-(

This decision is a hard one for me.... Because the first trip is going to see my husband because he is working out of state..... And the second is going to Canada to help out my daughter with my new grand baby that is due in June.

I know that I'm the only one that can make the decision but if you were in this position what would you do??

Call your oncologist. Oftentimes we are just feeling scar tissue, not a recurrence.  I would call and get in to see them right away so that you can be relieved from the news.

I don't think it's scar tissue because  the lump is at  11 o'clock  on the side that had the reduction . The scar goes around the bottom and then straight up to the nipple and around. On the side that I had ILC I do have a hardness of scar tissue and dimpling but  it's being watched . I think if I didn't have plans I wouldn't  hesitate to go and get it checked out..... I'm afraid of that roller coaster :-(

1american...I would have it checked out; for me in particular because I couldn't have a good time NOT knowing. It may very well be nothing and we all hope it is. Diane

    1american.

You need to have peace of mind, go get it checked out. Call your oncologist, they can do an ultrasound on the spot!  I know as most here do how horribly scary it is, thinking about it makes me scared but I am sure you want to breathe easy when that beautiful baby arrives :) If one of us had posted this how would you answer someone else? You would probably tell us to go get checked out.

All the best to you ((hug))

1american, we're with you, whatever you decide. That being said, along with everyone else we hope you call your oncologist and get this checked, for your own peace of mind. We're guessing that your husband and daughter would have the same advice, although of course they want to see you for those planned visits, as much as you want to be there!
