Pink lump in biopsy scar

Options

Has anyone discovered their recurrence through a lump in their biopsy scar? I am 14 months out from my BMX from dcis-no other tx needed after BMX. I have a small lump that is noticeably light pink right in the scar of my biopsy site.

I'm determined to not overreact but to gain information. I've read that the biopsy scar should have been removed during BMX? I have an appointment next Wednesday with my breast specialist. If this I familiar to anyone I would appreciate your thoughts.

Hi ShaneOak,  I have a white bump in my MX scar that, from the start I assumed was stitching and that it would resolve sooner or later. Well, now it's later, and it's still there, but my doc has assured me it's nothing to worry about. So, I'm going to take her advice. I hope you find out your's is nothing to worry about either (however, as we both know, not worrying is easier said than done)!

I too have a lump in my mastectomy scar.  It's just an adjunct to the scar tissue and has been there for years.

So long as it doesn't grow it's probably not much to worry about.  You should probably have your doc take a look next time you're in, but most likely he or she will just shrug (mine did and he was right).
