Hi from work....I've been so tired at night I fall asleep the minute I sit down. And it's been a short week....
Had a little snow Tuesday but I didn't expect it. Barely made it to work for an 8 Am meeting.
Thawing, melting, but this AM was freezing and there were a lot of accidents. Late again....
Princess Meece, what a nice surprise...and you deserve it! DH is a keeper! How about a pic with the tiara??
Ducky, gifts from my younger kids (the guys) and my grandkids make me melt. Doesn't matter what it is.
Sheila, keep posting...you are really lifting my spirits with your warm places. I hope you are feeling a glimmer of spring in your heart. Soon you will be walking and breathing the fresh air again. When is the baby coming??
I love Deb's pix. I remember polishing the whites on my saddle shoes with liquid polish almost every day. What fun!
Chris, I am so happy to see you! What great news about DS. It will be good for him to have the experience of living on campus. It is a chance to reinvent and meet new people.
Wow, you almost have your house back to yourselves...well, that is never really true...
You made me smile with that cartoon. Be careful driving at night...I have to work until 8 and 9 2 days a week.
K, love the pic...is that your NOW hair? I kind of like it long. and purple works!
Diane, I hope by now you have made some new memories with your sweet GDs. I hope they will help keep you to the schedule. ... or at least not tell if you don't.
Make the most of your time together and keep floating/ swimming with the current!
Hugs all around...PS - I usually remember my dx date (well, was it the day of my mammo and chat with the radiologist who showed me the film? Or was it when my gyn called to tell me I had BC a week later?) and I will also remember when I reset my Femara clock which marked the end of my treatment. Dates dates dates -- we all had BC before we ever knew it.
-
Joan love hearing from you.........have a great day.............
-
Meece - was this your reaction to the tiara?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZJFATitDSw
I can't think of a tiara without thinking of that...
Ducky - that was so sweet of your grandson - even more special coming from him.
10 years for Ramen noodles to leave your belly? So that's why my belly is so big...better stop eating Ramen noodles...
Glad you were able to get outside, Sheila. I haven't exercised in months...very bad.
Work from 1-8 today...

Christ..........I think that Ramen crap goes along with..........swallow chewing gum, and it will stay in your stomach for 7 years.........who comes up with that shit.......really....and I know the latter is not true.......this is a story that really happened.......it is gross, but should make you laugh.........
My now 56 year old son (oldest of 6)................when he was quite young, (learning to wipe his behind after a BM) got into a bag of "bubble gum"..........he was not allowed to chew it, but others in my mother's house were............well he found the bag................ate probably 3 pieces not known to me until I found the empty wrappers in his pocket...............
The next day he was in the bathroom......had to do a BM........I said "do you need help".......he said "no Mommy I'm a big boy and can do it myself"....................about 10 minutes later I hear.........MOM, MOM, PLEASE COME..............When I went into the bathroom he was struggling trying to wipe himself.........OK........
So like any good Mother you say.........its ok, I will help............well, easy right, NO.........got a piece of toilet paper, and tried to wipe.........there was this huge piece of "bowel" that was very stuborn and did not want to be wiped away................so I cupped the toilet paper around it and pulled......................ok, are you ready for this.........
I had a huge piece of "bubble gum" in the toilet paper, and when I pulled, the rest of the gum was still inside his ass.............LOL.........I just kept pulling, and pulling, and pulling, and eventually got all the gum he swallowed the day before.........................
MORAL OF THIS STORY..........GUM DOES NOT STAY IN YOUR STOMACH FOR 7 YEARS....LOL -
Meece love the Tiara idea!!!
-
LOL - The crap mothers have to deal with...literally. Guess he learned the hard way not to swallow gum.
I hope the snow is melting nicely for everyone - and not into the buildings. Our gutters were full of ice - I was afraid we'd have ice damming - I haven't seen any water damage inside.
