Advice needed

I had a right breast mastectomy in Jan 2013. At that time an aspiration was done on my left breast.

Now I had a biopsy performed for a cyst in my left breast and a diagnosis of cancer has been confirmed.

My question is :

Why was this not found out last year?

I have been raking Tamoxofin since last year...what impact has this on the present diagnosis?

Would appreciate advice.

Good luck with your surgery. My mx was 4 years ago yesterday. I had no pain from it and my recovery was easy. Hope your will be, too!

I don't know any other features of your BC. They found my second one, other breast, year out but mammos aren't always reliable.Especially for small cancers. Second one was high grade. didn't take tamoxifen because I thought I could do without it........opps........however, depending on the size and grade of your cancer, tamocifen may have slowed it down if it needs estrogen to grow. Wishing you the best. Hard.
