I want to go to Italy, too!! ...could we crash your party DeAnn? (I'd have to sell my wares to get the fare, but boy - it would be the dream of a lifetime.) Where have you decided to go, D? (I can see I'm going to have to start my Facebook account up again.)

Kaye - plans aren't quite solidifed yet, but the deal is that a business friend of DH has a house in Tuscany that he has offered to let us use. So, a free place in Tuscany is too hard to pass up! We're thinking we will try to take three weeks this summer and spend 10 days in France and then 10 days in Italy at his house. I've started back in with studying French to brush up on my very rusty college French, and I'm working on Italian too. Maybe Chiara can help me there!
Nothing is set yet other than the days we'll be at his house (in Lucca), and I don't even have plane tickets yet. (or any idea of how on earth to pay for all of this seeing as how we are still paying for our Christmas vacation to go to Hawaii!). But, after breast cancer, I'm no longer saying "Oh some day, I'd love to do that." Nope. I'm taking every opportunity to do the things I've always wanted to do. Everything will sort itself out in the long run, right? And I can always live off rice and beans for a few months!

Just a little peek to say "Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year"!!!, and I find plans to come to Italy, no less!!! Lucca is a wonderful little city, close to the sea (nice in summer... ).
... and rice and beans are quite tasty...
I can help on French and Italian, how lucky are you - hé?

Thinking of all of you and wanted to wish all of 'my sisters' the most wonderful holidays ever!

Hi Everyone! I didn't actually start my chemo in August of 2007, but that was the month I was diagnosed. I would love to hear that each and every one of you are still here and well. How bout an update?

Hi Jan! I was so surprised to get an email from bc.org,saying that there was a comment on this thread! We don't really use the forums anymore, but I still keep up with several people from here on Facebook. This group really helped me when I needed the support!
I'm happy to report I am doing well! I'm a yoga teacher now and still very active and healthy! Hope everyone else is doing great as well!
