Jackie .. I'm with you, I am so wishing it was time for my dogwoods to be blooming. I love springtime! I still can't get my car out of the driveway. Tim was able to get in last night cause the truck has 4-wheel drive and he could just drive over the snow bank. But my car is a little Honda and no way could I get it out .. I tried, but the wheels just kept spinning.
I'm going to work this afternoon. Yay .. it's a huge report for one of my own clients. It's takes me 9 hours to earn the same amount I can in 3 hours for my own clients. Yikes! Don't get me wrong .. I am grateful to have a job. Also grateful Tim is home today and can free my car from the snow and driveway!
hugs to everyone

http://quietmike.org/2014/02/14/republican-bullies-all-bark-no-bite/ I truly enjoyed this article and just leaving it here for anyone else who would like to read up on bullies and their behaviors.

Saw a TV report last night, that the Mayor of New York was going to close down the horse drawn carriage rides through Central Park - is he crazy???? I've never been there, but when we were in Wales, we went on a horse draw carriage ride in a little coastal town - it was terrific. NY will suffer loss of tourism over this.

Wow - kitchen and bathroom floors are now washed. Next weekend, hopefully I can vac and wash the rest of the place. Too hot already to do more.
-
went to the home show today and bought a steam cleaner for the floor. I love our white (mostly) floor but it is ridiculously difficult to keep clean. I obviously had a mental lapse when picking it out, as our previous bathroom floor was white and I said never again... then I make the kitchen dining room and family room all white. I should have my head examined!!!
-
GG - LOL - our bathrooms are predominately white, but not anywhere else.

Blue...I so loved the lioness and her baby. I also liked everything else you put in.

SNOWBAMA!

Love it Yorkie. As always -- great President. Some struggling now, but when I think of the HUGE obstructionism and how much has been done despite it and the continued idiocy of the extreme party rendering the Republicans so in-effective -- well it leaves little doubt what will be in this legacy.

Wish they could get it right....we need two 'good' parties. Sigh !!!!

Which Classic Rock Band Are You?
- You got: The Doors

You’re strange, but undeniably awesome. Sometimes you come
across as eccentric and controversial, but those who understand your
universal mind will appreciate just how profound you truly are.

You got: Led Zeppelin
Getty ImagesYou’re the dual-axe wielding, mythological wizards of rock. You’re unquestionably legendary, but still often misunderstood. People will either love you or hate you. Ramble on, you multi-talented visionary you!
I gotta admit I like the axe-wielding part....

-
Ray got Led Zeppelin too!

Morning Buddies,
Going to try to post a few pictures.

This is a picture of my side yard ... you can see my fields in the distance. I took the picture early in the morning so it came out kind of blue colored.

Maggie in the snow .. she hated it!

This is a section of the first path I shoveled to the car. I made it to the car that day, but couldn't get any further.
Tim is out shoveling along the end of the driveway now so the mail lady can deliver the mail tomorrow.
hugs to everyone,
Bren

Blue .. I love Led Zeppelin and Ed Plant. Also love the picture of the purple geranium you posted. It reminded me of my dad. He's been gone 5 years last week. I can't believe it was that long ago. He used to grow that variety of geranium ... can't remember what it's called.
love you,
Bren
PS .. Just looked out the window .. Tim has decided not to shovel. Instead he is running over the snow with the truck. Geez.

Wonderful posts Blue, and yorkie, LOVE THE SNOWMAN
Jackie - I don't drink coffee, but I'll go to THAT cafe any day....
bren - shovelled and then yesterday's 6 more inches and the w-i-n-d undid a lot of it, now letting the sun do it's work...which, natch, will freeze overnight.
Still, it's gorgeous to look at, especially from inside

Just saying hi,
Love my morning reading and this morning trying to stay calm because it's Mammo Day for me.
And I need coffee.
-
Suzieq, your cleaning is wearing me out!! Alyson, will be thinking of you on mammo day ....
-
Glenna - I did more - I cleaned out my Tupperware cupboard - most of it has gone in the rubbish seeing I never use it - 3 big garbage bags full and yes I still have some left

-
I am sure that stuff breeds when you put it in a drawer or cupboard.
-
Alyson ... hope your mammogram is unremarkable. I get nervous too just before mine.
Suzie ... that is a lot of cleaning. I did a little today. The only way I can keep track of my plastic lids is to attach them all the containers. After I did that, I threw out all the ones that didn't have a mate.
hugs,
Bren
