My diagnosis was in April 2011 Since then I've put on 70 pounds yes 70 !!!! I was slim and active before and this is the year I shed that weight I've made a good start in the last 2 weeks doing the Herbalife programme and hope to keep it up and increase my exercise levels Need encouragement.

Keep it up derxa!!! I am doing weight watchers, on week 3 and was down almost 2 lbs. today. Not quite halfway to my goal but steadily getting there.

I'm pleased to still be maintaining my Weight Watchers lifetime goal. It's hard work. I'm focusing on eating more protein at breakfast, more fruits and veggies all day long, and still easing into doing more jogging, while continuing strength training 2 or 3 times a week.

Last few days have been difficult for me diet wise however had plenty of exercise. Back to good eating habits today and fingers crossed that I don't gain anything at weigh in on Wednesday.....

So, ladies, where are you???? LOL, it is hard to keep on top of things! I have good days and bad. Yesterday , not my best. Rain here in So Cal, no exercise. Then a birthday party, usually able to avoid b-day cake and such as I am gluten free. Well, one of the guests brought.....drum role please gluten free pumpkin cheesecake (pumpkin is good for you by the way!) with a gingersnap crust. Ugg, just took a small piece, would have ate only half, but woman who made I was talking to me, couldn't throw it out could I??? OK, I confess, it was so yummy.
Missed pilates on Friday because as I was leaving my house saw my NEW $2,000 custom made front gate was not hanging right. The strong winds we have made my gate break and then I propped it with a plant in a pot. That wasn't enough, gate knocked over pot, while I was cleaning the dirt up the da^^$ gate smacked me in the butt!!!! All I could do is laugh. But I missed my exercise, ate too much sat night and need to get back on track!!! Encouragement needed! Have apt w oncologist in two weeks, feel I need to have good #S.

I feel bad that I started this thread and then abandoned it! I have been in PT for over the last monthand the pain and extra appointments have kind of taken the wind out my sails! So frustrating. I am starting a new treatment this week that will hopefully relieve some of my pain, and then I hope to gradually build up stamina again to exercise regularly. I have not lost the will, just need the muscle/strength without pain to follow through. Breast cancer is not for the meek! Good thing there is a lot of 2014 left to meet my goals. Still with you ladies - just got a bit of a detour! Onward ho!

Doing well with exercising but the diet has been challenging lately. Signed up for my first 5k run in April so plan to kick the exercise and diet in high gear.

Welcome back BayouBabe!
I'm continuing to run one mile, slowly but surely, 3 times a week and to work out with weights 3 times a week also. Today I did 1.5 mile on the treadmill at the gym, which was so much easier, but also much more boring than running outside. And DH and I walk our three dogs almost every day. I'm also slowly recovering from a painful frozen shoulder.
I'm still tracking online with Weight Watchers and going in person to weigh in once a month, so that I am accountable to stay at or below my lifetime goal weight.
Setbacks are discouraging, but I think the most important goal is just to keep keep getting back on track and not to give up.

AnnieLane, I have had a frozen shoulder, I KNOW your pain!!!! It took 8 months of PT to get full ROM!!! But now I am totally faithful to pilates and swear that is why I am doing so well post mastectomy. I had full ROM back very quickly, went to pilates the day before surgery and got back to it 7 weeks after ( I was doing less upper body, but am almost back to where I was before, surgery was mid NOV of last year.
I have been doing better this week w food, after b-day party, I got back to being better. Made red lentil soup for dinner, it came out really good! found these flax muffins for breakfast that are filling and healthy

hi everyone,
I've been reading all your posts but did not have that much to report during radiation. Now that radiation is over, well external anyways, I'm back into a grove of some sort. I've started working with a personal trainer once a week and do a great 1hr circut that gets adapted as we go along based on what my body is letting me do that week. I've tried to pick up the running but we are yet facing another frost bite advisory this week so I'm not as motivated to go out for a run.
I've dusted off my Weight Watchers books from a couple years ago so I can start loosing some of the extra chemo weight. I had gained 25 lbs since I started chemo and I was already 10lbs from my goal weight before then... I had dropped about two pounds on its own since the end of chemo, and I lost another 4.2 pounds in the last two weeks since following WW. Yay!

I posted at the beginning of the year and have been absent since. But now I'm back with a progress report. After going off tamoxifen and switching to femara, I was able to drop 4 pounds and I feel in general so much better. This is a much better drug for me. I feel confident I can get the next 6 off with a little extra work. I wish everyone success - it's tough losing weight! Wether it's 5 pounds or 25 pounds!

Hi Ladies,
I've worked up to running 1.5 miles every other day, but will have to flex a bit this next week since DH & I are going on a road trip to Dallas, then Iowa and back home through Dallas again to see my daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren.
Still working out on the weight machines 3 times a week, walking the dogs daily, and weighing in at WW monthly to stay at my lifetime goal weight.
