As I left my car,
DD said 'Happy Imbolc Eve,
Best day to plant seeds'
------------------------------------
Too much yesterday,
busy with company as well,
didn't plant my seeds.
-----------------------------------
I will plant today
and hope that its still okay,
honour her beliefs.
--------------------------------------
Kathy, thanks so much,
you are kind to think of me,
I think of you too.
-
Hey there, Red Reading,
Is your DD a Wiccan?
Blessed Be to her!
-
Yes, I hear a lot
Of blessed be, hear even more,
The word Namaste
An it harm none!
-
I do read Taro

Who'd ever have thought?

Peace, Namaste, and Shalom
Coexisting Now!
_______
Bright Blessings to all
Is not a scary phrase
Nor is "May God Bless!"
-
The Longest night is
Her favourite day so we
All celebrate too
------------------------
Her friends and my friends
All get together, burn sage,
Burn notes, welcome new.
------------------------
On with boots and coats
And then we walk round my house
Chanting or singing
-----------=--------------
Each lights a candle
On the yule log, then fire it
And watch it burn down.
--------------------------
Appreciation!
Guests learns why they are special
To the others there
----------------------------
We cook lovely soup
We make candles from scratch too
Then it's time to leave.
-----------
My DD goes home
To stay up all night, hold safe
Our souls in her hands
-

Monica & Red, lovely and eloquent poetry!
Today they found a stolen 5 day-old WI baby, alive and bundled up but abandoned by his kidnapper outside a gas station in Iowa. He'd been outdoors overnight in subzero temps. Miracles do happen! ♥

Ok. Winter poem before we think of spring. (yes, I have written one for each season LOL )

amidst the dreary white
Grey days commanding
With no end in sight.
_
Deep in Winters heart
A frozen tableau waits
Seeds need warmth to jumpstart
Their journey to the fates.
___
Between the mounds of snow
Cold seeps deep into the bones
Memory draped in Summers glow
Warms the soul from cold hard stone.
___
And though it's said the seasons feared
By one and all - tis true!
When noses run and eyes are teared
And Spring is not in view!
___
As all things, the seasons flow
And Winter is soon past
Brighter times will conquer foe
When Spring arrives at last!

Red, I am sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and your family.
-
Thanks Monica. He's in a better place and I'm sure he's happy to see mom again. I am especially sad for my children's loss of their gpa. And for the loss my ex is going through - it's his dad. Although, I've known him since I was 13, so it seems like he was my dad too.
-
((Red)) I'm so sorry!
Resquiescat in pace
Hugs to you and kin. ♥

It seems to be dropping farther south this year. Kathec let us know what you hear, ok? Mouse, your in the final vountdown! Hang in there and keep using that magic stuff, Aquaphor! Minus, didn't forget you, just forgot what's going on with you! LOL.

Got tattooed today
It hurt my tender boobies
I cried, felt stupid.
--------------------------
I know it's for good
I sometimes feel invaded
But health will come soon
----------------------------
So soon it will start,
Daily rounds, radiation,
So cancer will die.
A bit morose today, those tats hurt!!! I didn't expect that. And I get to hold the weirdest position in the history of radiation and hope they don't smash my elbow on the machine. Silly boobs - they do like to spread when I'm on my back...right out of the radiation field. So I'm canted up and rolled rightist and my arm is lying 8 inches up and forward on stirrups. The stupid neck pillow is the worst - I can see headaches by the end of the week, for sure.
-
Hugs to Red! {{{{{{((((((((Red)))))))}}}}}}}}
I'm sorry they hurt. Did they do your mold yet? That might help you. I feel for you red. Maybe try a small bag of lavender during tx? To relax you? I'd love to be with you for this. You and Mouse will deserve a good massage after. Well, after the skin is healed enough to handle it. Don't forget to use your Aquaphor after you're done with each day tx.
Much love.
-
Nope Monica I don't get a mold because of my wandering boobies. I get to put my arm in a pair of stirrups instead. And hold it there - don't move. lol
-
Oh crap! Sorry! I had to hold still for the longest time for my biopsy. My daughter couldn't believe it. Yuck. Just go to your happy place in your head. LOL
Take deep breath and hold
Yeah right! You try it you b____h!
Ok. That's unfair.
_______
Better yet, deep breath
Smell of lavender in nose
In my happy place......
______
Red may your rads go more like the 2nd haiku! Much love!
-
Rads do not phase me
The tattoos were my downfall
Cried, then felt stupid.
-
awwww, redreading! im sorry, sweetie! but now, you can take a blue markie pen, and connect the dots!
-
Kathec you're funny
Connecting the dots is fun
Maybe DH can!
I'm ok. It was just so stressful. I hate needles and should have taken something for anxiety or had my DH holding my hand. I don't understand how someone would get tattoos without being drunk or high! They make it look so relaxing on tv.
21 bombers
Killed when teachers bomb went off
Evil me just laughed.

-
