Does your arm get cold?

My lymphedema affected arm will sometimes get really cold. Not to the touch but inside, if that makes sense. It feels cold like I need to put extra layers of clothing on my arm. Why is that? Anyone else experience that too?

My arm gets isolated patches that sometimes burn but not cold. Not saying cold arms cant happen but more often than not it's heat that tends to be the problem. Just wondering if it may be neuropathy as that can give extremes of both burning and cold. I do have that in my feet so I hear you on the "inside" analogy.

mcgis, is this when you're wearing compression? I find compression garments sometimes really cold in winter and hot in summer (grrrrrr!), and after years of wearing them I also find that my arms don't adjust well to temperature changes. Getting into a cool pool, for instance, is almost painful, if you know what I mean. Odd. Irritating.
    Be well,

yes, it's when i have the sleeve and glove on. ugh. i am NOT looking forward to summer. it gets over 100* here. i suppose i'll be spending a lot of time inside or in the pool and on the inner tube floating around.  i guess it would be a good time to do water aerobics too.

Perhaps your compression level is wrong (or measurements)?,  Some of us are very sensitive to the compression level - I'm one who is.

I fight  LE all winter (Sept - May) because of the BRUTAL COLD here.  Summer is so much easier as I can actually get outside and LIVE.  Yes we do get into the 100+ here too but that beats the months of MONTHS of below 32F and weeks on end of below 0F.  (I do know what it it is like to live  in the Mojave desert - Hubby was stationed at NWC China Lake for almost 4 yrs).

Exactly the opposite - affected arm gets hot & sweats, especially during exercise!
