how do i know if i need to wear a night garment or not?

    my CLT got the authorization through my insurance for me. are you seeing a lymphedema therapist? they would be able to tell you.

    barb, night garments are not something everyone needs, because some people find that lying down decreases swelling. If you swell at night without garments, try elevating your arm(s) on pillows. If that doesn't work you can wrap (if this is just arms/hands). Night garments can substitute for wrapping, and they're easier to don and to care for, so they cut down on work. I also have a night vest, because my chest swells without compression, but some women do fine at night with just a sports shirt (like Underarmour). Just depends on what works best for YOU!

    Bonney I have a night vest but it iscso uncomforytable around the neck when I lay down.  I wear it around the house in the day .  Not sure how much it helps
