@Linda - I like that also...
-
@Susanna - I was calling them every few days every time I got a system that lasted more than 2 days. I did not want to bother them but they said it was alright for me to call in & let them know what was going on...At least next week I will be more prepared for my second treatment!
-
Thank you Cathy I appreciate it!!
-
MsRocky, how often do u get u'r chemo, since everyone gets them differently. It might not be as bad next time---what happened to u.?
-
Hello Everyone.
Just found this great thread. So happy to meet you all.
I had a mastectomy in July and have been trying to get back to normal whatever that is or was.
getting a lot of strength from daily mass( mostly televised) but get out whenever I have the energy to do that.
Thank you all for being here on this thread. Have to catch up on the posts.
-
Linda, that's beautiful!
-
I'm wondering about Frank. Frank, if you read this - I hope all is well!
-
LeeA - I have been wondering how Frank is too. May God grant that all is going well for him.
MSRockyG - I know what you mean about not wanting to bother them, glad to see you have grasped the concept - they actually WANT you to act like a hypochondriac. Camillegal is so right, each treatment is a new experience so no two are the same. God willing it will be easier next time.
LJDH - welcome. XX
-
Thank you for the welcome!
Wishing you all a wonderful day
-
Welcome LJDH, but sorry u'r here, are u done with chemo or rads or are u right in the middle of all of this. Please take u'r time, this is a big emotional roller coaster as well as a physical taxing time, don't rush u'rself.

We have about 6 inches of snow here in South Jersey and the roads are icy. I have to go to UPenn in Philly this morning for treatment. I'm trying to let my husband sleep as late as possible - he's a county road worker and had to work in the weather last night. Please pray for safe travels and an uneventful appointment. Thanks.

Back home safe and sound. Everything went well, thanks be to God. Thanks everyone!

Good to hear that Penny.

Good Penny-the weather is horrible all over right now.

Asking for prayers... I am waiting for test results, mostly likely they have absolutely nothing to do with my cancer but of course that is the nagging fear in the back of my mind! This time last year is when I was diagnosed so it is already a hard time of year to begin with. Praying that the results come quickly, that they provide a simple & treatable explanation for my symptoms, and that they have nothing to do with my breast cancer or anything else deadly!!!

Indenial
-
Prayers for you Indenial. I'm in the same place myself, also waiting for results. God willing you get good news and soon. Lots of love Susanna XXX
-
Praying for indenial and feelingfeline. Keep us posted.

-
THANK YOU. FeelingFeline, praying for you too!
-
Thank you Penny. Thank you Indenial. I am meeting my team on Monday and will get test results and see if any more tests neede. (Gut feeling is more tests). Penny that is a beautiful new icon of Jesus with the animals. Have you seen Jean Keaton's drawings of Jesus with children? So nice to see images of Jesus happy as well as the images we are often seeing of Jesus serious or suffering. XXX.
-
Feelingfeline - after I read your post, I googled Jean Keaton and found her website. One of her drawings is a favorite of mine and I never knew she was the artist. "Joan" - Jesus is sitting with a young woman comforting her. I showed this picture to my teenage daughter a few weeks ago and told her this is how I imagine I'll be in Heaven with Jesus when I first get there. I'll have long, brown hair again. And he'll be comforting me telling me it's finally over. Thank you!
- Penny
-
Amen Penny. I know the picture. It is beautiful and you are so right. BTW I googled your lovely icon too. Love Susanna
-
Sharing my good news. Both of the scans and blood tests are clear. Thank God. Have to see a gynae on 19th but they are putting my symptoms down to hormone mess caused by chemo, tamoxifen etc. After that no doctors or hosps (God willing) until I see my onco in FOUR months. Yippee. I hope Indenial will have equally good news. Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes. XXX
-
Thank You, Lord!

Feline---God is good.
-
He is good indeed Camillegal.
Penny - you have put up that beautiful picture of you with Jesus.
-
YAY FeelingFeline!!! Soooo happy to hear your good news!! Sounds like we might be dealing with some similar issues, I seem to be a hormonal mess too. Still awaiting the rest of my results, the waiting drives me bonkers!!
I feel like every bit of post-cancer good news/tests/results deserves a huge celebration.
I will go eat another cupcake in your honor!
-
Indenial, thank you. God willing we will be celebrating your good news soon. (Funny how our perspective changes - yaay I'm a hormonal mess, yay!!) Praise God for his help with new perspective. Funny you should mention cupcakes - my 8 yr old went to a Baking party on Sunday and we have a boxload, I have had to freeze some. Now there is one with your name on it. XXX
-
Couldn't resist changing the avatar, it's so beautiful. I have scans this Thursday the 6th - the first since starting a new trial. I'm bringing friends so we can go to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch and maybe shopping afterwards. Trying to make the best of it. God is good.
