thank you for the warm welcome ducky, I will check out the threads you suggested My grandparents were Italian, right off the boat from Ellis Island, but the only words I know are curse words.
-
Slow.........your welcome.....glad to have you, not glad why your here..
My husband was italian.........through and through, mother and father.......I am Scot, Irish, and German, but hung with Italians all my life, so learned their ways.......my in laws were from here, but my husbands grandparents, and some aunts and uncles were born in Italy..........
I am good with the curse words too........lol
-
my mother came right off the boat
She never wanted me to learn Italian cause she didn't want me to understand what she was sayin to the family??sooo I went to school and told no one I understood what they were sayin
Forgot most of it now
Betta get my dictionary out and do some studying
I too know every curse word
I used to call veggy a scutch..when she looked it up she told me there was 10 different meaning..
Again everything goes back to veggy
-
On my way to try to get caught up on other threads but thought I'd stop by veggy's first. Her "Tea Room" here is always busy.
kathac ~ Yes, I am a fan of les miserables but, my name is indeed Valerie Jean (always keep my last name private). Hence, Valjean for me here.
Hey, K!! Was gonna say, "Hey, Fire!" but didn't want anybody to think I was yelling **FIRE!** in a crowded theater (or Tea Room) or something!
-
Val.....so good to see you...........still have your sense of humor I see.............nice having you back posting again...........I gave Granny that name, and ever since she is completely "out of control"........maybe you can calm her down.........lol.........

Hi Veggy. I saw my doctor yesterday and she told me that I might need to try alternative methods to get rid of the breast nerve pain. She also said that I will probably have to live with this breast pain the rest of my life. I must admit, I would rather live with the pain than have no brain and be dizzy all the time. I haven't started exercising yet, but doc wants me to at least do some walking.. It just flares the pain so bad.. You used to have two words that would help and encourage me. I miss that right now. Doc also told me if I get to the basement door, to cry a bit and then DO something else and say, I don't need to go there. I know she is right and I know you would agree with her. I sure miss you..
-
GMA.........big hugs...........
-
gma, vitamin b6! heals nerve pain, i am experiencing the very same thing. i saw a neurologist 2 days ago, and he told me to take it. ask your doc. ill let you know if its working for me too. love to all here.
