Tanya - I agree that a good cry is necessary to cleanse the soul once in a while.

I have a coffee mug with this on;
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. Life is about learning to dance in the rain.
Great thread, thanks x

Hi Everyone..
It's another Beautiful Day for me because of this wonderful thread.. again Thanks Ebru (stagefree), for thinking of it..
Carolben , I love that.. I am learning to dance in the rain.. more and more everyday. Glenna_E.. I am so glad the my post was helpful to you. I myself needed it the day I posted it. We all have life situations that require inspirations, encouragement and reminders. That's why this tread is so wonderful..!!
Thank you everyone for being here.. I am not ashamed to say, I need you guys.. Because I do..!! Sending my love and (((HUGS))) to all.. Bj

“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” - Michael Jordan

It came to me today that some of the reasons, besides the obvious.. I have had so much trouble dealing with CANcer is.. I always thought my Life's Purpose was taking care of my loved ones, loving people, and making their lives better.. Since CANcer came into my life.. I feel so limited..!! I feel my purpose has been lost. I FEEL LIKE I AM WITHOUT A PURPOSE..
I don't have the energy to do so many things.. My state of mind often stops me from wanting to do anything.. Sometimes I can't do hat I want to do..
But I am now working on a new way of doing things and a new way of enjoying life.. and a new way of helping people..
Because truly, Life Does Go On.. and I don't want to miss another minute..!!
Redefining My Purpose in Life, Bj ((((HUGS TO ALL))))
The purpose of life is a life of purpose..

"I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough..” ~ Nicholas Sparks~

Sorry for the language, but it just explains our situation so well
-
omg, stagefree, that's about the funniest new word and its description I ever heard. I am still laughing.
-
I mean, a big belly laugh...
-
yeah I know.. I am too..
-
Ebru, I nearly wet myself laughing!!!!!
-
Ebru, that is hilarious!!! And sadly, so true! I can't stop laughing...

It is better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring!!

-
Ebru, me too .... And I really needed a good laugh!! I've had the week from hell!
-
Karmasutra! I have found a new favorite word, and I hope my addled brain will remember it for a long time. Thank you, Ebru!
Here's my quote for the day:
In certain trying circumstances,
urgent circumstances,
desperate circumstances,
profanity furnishes a relief
denied even to prayer.
Mark Twain

Brenda, one of my favorite authors - I don't remember that quote.
From Isaac Asimov, another favorite author of mine:
"The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom."
-
Worry is interest paid on trouble before it is due.
-
Some mornings, it just isn't worth gnawing through the leather straps.
-
karmasutra.....I'm slapping that on Facebook, my new fav word! Lol
-
From Winston Churchill, whom I greatly admire, . "When you are going through hell....keep going."
-
-
Having contributed to our vocabulary Karma Sutra, I felt I would do injustice not to share the "Marrried Kama Sutra" with my BCO sisters..

-
Seriously speaking…this is how I feel better about my life..
-
Oh my, Ebru, the Married Kama Sutra photos are hysterical as well.....
-
Ebru, love your posts! I got some laughs, and your quote of the day kind of hit me in the face. I needed that!
"Common sense and a sense of humor are the same thing, moving at different speeds. A sense of humor is just commons sense, dancing. - William James
And I don't think ANYONE will be able to top the karma-sutra!
-
Ebru,
Love the Married Kama Sutra. Most amusing! I think my personal favorite may be the Dishwasher Position.
Tina
P.S. Oh dear. Is that too much information?
-
From Billy Joel's song ..."Only the good die young",,,,,,, I love this one, "I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints!" And that's the truth...lol
-
This thread brings up so many emotions, I read this:
The worst kind of pain is when your smiling just to keep the tears from falling.
and know that pain.
Then the very next post is "Karmasutra", and I've got tears rolling down my face from laughing.
