Vitamin D?

I just found out my vitamin D level is low (25). My dr wants me to start taking 2000 iu's a day. That is the easy part. I went on line (amazon) to order some and there are so many different kinds with so many different ingredients! Some have GMO, geltatin, maltodextrin,  and so much more. Where do I start? Can anyone recommend a brand that is "safe" for us bc patients? I guess I should also start taking a daily vitamin to make sure I am getting everything else as well. TIA

If this is in the wrong place, feel free to move it!

Carlson's 2000 iu D3 softgels is what I use for myself and for my mom.  My mom gets tested more often than I do.  She often skips her vit d gelcap.  Two times ago her level was in the 60s, and the most recent dropped clear down to the 30s.  Now she has a compression fracture in her back.  For a level as low as 25, you have a ways to go just to get into the bottom of the range (30-100).  Optimal levels are between 60 and 80.  Vitamin D is very important for bone health.  Good luck getting your levels up.  Best to take it with meals containing healthy fats.

My level was 19 and my onc put me on replesta. You can get it from the pharmacy, without a prescription. I take it once a week. Price is $16.00 for a months worth.

    Good luck:)
