2 lung nodules

I had a CT scan this week and they found 2 lung nodule. They said one was 2mm. 

My doctor suggested a watch and wait. I'll see what my oncologist says tomorrow. 

Is it likely this could turn out to be cancer? Anyone else have this happen?

    Hi

    I think I posted in another forum that you were in about my lung nodule. They are lots of women here that have had them and they turn out to be nothing. Mine was 6mm and initially, before my bmx I had a chest X-ray that was clear and then I had a ct scan that showed the nodule. I had chemo and 6 months after I had the first scan, they scanned me again to see if there were any changes to it. Fortunately it was exactly the same so now I have another scan in a year as they think it is a granuloma.   I litterly was on the brink of despair over this thing and it turned out to be nothing. They also found a thyroid nodule that I had biopsed that was benign. It appears that our bodies love to grow things but because we had BC they have to follow us very closly. 

    I  sure yours will turn out to be nothing too.

    Lord I hope it's nothing. I said that about my breast lump too though.

    I feel like I'm back where I started it "is it or isn't it" thinking ... driving myself crazy. I just want to scream and run away!!!! I hate this!!!!!!

    I totally understand as I feel the same way. It never seems to end! There really is nothing that they can do right now with them as they are so small. As I said they are very common and a lot of us have them. 

    Hopefully speaking to your oncologist will make you feel better.

    I went and saw my oncologist today and he said he isn't really concerned at all. He said it was typical benign features but of course will re scan in 6 months to make sure.

    He told me not to give it a 2nd thought and suspects it should stay the same. 

    So for now I will take that and run and pray in 6 months he is right!!
