How vain are you?

I think Sherlock is one of the few series I've ever watched that gets BETTER with each episode.
-
I only watch Downtown Abbey for the dresses
-
Ditto. And I llooooovvvvvveeeeee "Sleepy Hollow".
Hello, Ichabod!
-
Damn! He looks like a shined up version of dd's boyfriend. I may see the poor boy in a whole new light now
-
❤️❤️❤️❤️ Sleepy Hollow! Ichabod is gorgeous! Just wish he would change his clothes every now and then.
-
I'm more a "Person of Interest" kinda girl
-
Selena, I'm curious about the oil hair color too.
-
Momine - my favorite program for clothes was/is The House of Elliot ( maybe one l?) - just love it.
Ok, heros - who played Poldark? that dates me, huh?
-
I adore the Downton Abbey wardrobe. I imagine how each outfit would look with one of my antique/vintage mesh purses. My collection ranges from late 1800's to the mid 1960's. I even have a small coin purse for Mrs. Hughes' chatelaine.
Jim Caviziel; good looking but his character on Person of Interest is too intense.

Melissa- right there with you- the scruffy maybe I have/maybe I haven't shaved or bathed look is not my fav.
I hope someone answers about the hair color with oil- I am interested in hearing more.
Hermione is quite regal - so glad she was not named "taffy" or something more common hehehehe
-
As an historian, I love Ichabod's two-hundred-year-old clothing. And long hair. And military coat. #blissful sigh Did you see the episode where they tried to spruce up his wardrobe and put him in trendy skinny jeans? Laughed so hard, I peed myself...
-
was it the season finale? Haven't watched it yet. But, yes, I think I'd pee myself too if I saw him in skinny jeans. lol!
-
-
Hilarious! He's still gorgeous though.
-
Well, I certainly feel OLDER than most of you - alas, my "hero" was a young Jeremy Irons , and HIS VOICE, oh, his voice, I would sell my soul to have a CD of his reading TS Eliot's The Four Quartets. Know he performed it recently in UK, but no recording available. Sigh...
The movie Betrayal, with Patricia Hodges, oh my, oh my...
-
Alan Rickman is another British actor with a sublime, sexy voice. It reminds me of warmed pecan syrup over ginger cake.
-
Sun, then I am old too, because I had the worst hots for Jeremy Irons for years!
-
ooohhhh.....love alan rickman's voice - trying to remember name of movie in which he plays his own ghost? wonderful...
-
Alan Rickman will forever be Severus Snape! Has anyone noticed how he and Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) sound exactly the same?
-
Sunflowers ... Truly Madly Deeply.
Something about those theatre-trained British actors. Their voices are just... yummy.
-
Ok, I'm a little vain about this. After 20 years I have gotten back into sewing. This is my first creation, an apron for my youngest DD. Oldest DD gets hers next.
-
Nice! I've always wanted to know how to sew. I'm teaching myself how to knit; right now I'm working (carefully!) on a baby sweater.
-
I have done quite a bit of knitting but never became very good.. Very frustrating. Back in the day I was a pretty good seamstress, so that's what I'm returning to. I love to create things with my hands!
-
Okay, I'm volunteering to be the guinea pig. I bought some Garnier Olia hair color on the way home & will try to get to it this weekend.
Yorkie, where did you find the apron pattern? It is really cute.
-
Melissa, it is an "Indigo Junction" pattern. I bought it at a Bernina shop in my town.
-
Yorkie - really wonderful! I have always wanted to make a "kimono" shaped short jacket out of heavy canvas/sail cloth. LOVE the lines of most Japanese clothing - even have ( finally) a sewing machine, but haven't used it much.
YES, YES, YES, Selena - Truly Madly Deeply. Such a wonderful, wonderful movie.
I think Alan R. has a MUCH deeper, gravellier voice than Ben C. Loved Rickman in Sense & Sensibilty
-
Kay, let me know how you like it because I was just sitting looking at my white ones this morning too.
-
kayb,
I mentioned the tinted brow gel. If you have an Ulta store near you, they carry it as well. I will only use the Anastasia brand. Covers the greys like nobodies business and fills in sparse areas. The color names are a bit crazy. Brunette is actually a dark blond/very light brown. Granite is a dark brown. I use granite.

-
HI all vain ones!
Melissa- keep us posted on this hair color- I got 30 more greys since I posted last night haha. Love the idea of this brow stuff- I must need it everytime I go for my hair appt or even a wax they say "have you ever tried tinting or coloring in your brows....." Uh gee if I had would they look like I had a chemistry lab malfunction- I am going to vegas this weekend so will hit sephora and check it out. Caryn- if I have pretty light brown eyebrows with a few grey/white will the granite be too "brooke shields circa 1980"?
-
Kay, my youngest is such a girly girl, I think she will definitely wear it as a "hostess apron". She's really not too much into cooking lol. Part of making these aprons is to get back in practice.
