Did I tell you ladies my TV broke Xmas eve........
My don called today...he is coming tonight with a new Samsung 40 inch TV for me.....he and another son chipped in for it...."appreciate it, but just got big money gifts from them, so want yo buy my in......don't like taking from my kids...."I am a giver....not a taker", but he already bought it.
Said "just say thanks Mom, no more...we went to do this......I have the most generous kids.....the other 4 also give way much....when I say.....no, enough already.....they say......."Mom you have bern giving all you life, now Is our turn to give back".p
I me very grateful Mother....."
-
wow, duckyb1. sounds like you did something really right as a mother. good job! Enjoy your big tv, thats like the size of being at the movies!
-
.....mud. i think i got muddy a lot when i was a child. notice i didnt say too much mud. mud was nice, n heavy and warm. loooved mud! maybe that is why i DIDNT get bc as a child, cause i had the right amount of mud.... never could be too much mud!
-
Kath.....probably no more then most of you amazing Mothers on this website.......
-
....i was a terrible mother. kind of like no mother at all! seriously, i never did get around to having kids. another bc risk! seriously i never met a man i wanted to breed with, till i met the one i have now!! and we decided it was too late for us, but we could always adopt, specially if we just wanted help around the house! my man would have made a really good dad, i think.

Someone talking early periods??? I started at 10 and had my first bra when I was 9 yrs. I was a C cup by the time I was in 10 (5th grade). I had girls in the class that decided they needed a bra and stuffed them, just because I wasn't "allowed" to grow up faster than they were. I remember my mom coming to school (catholic grammer school) took me out of class (embarrassing!!!) too the restroom - handed me a sanitary belt and pad and told me to "put this on" had no clue why or how. Then a week later took me to a doctor and had him "explain" the birds and the bees - He looked at me and handed me a book and smiled. So all this was the Doctor's fault - he handed me the book with all those paper chemicals on it ..

Been off boards for a few months and happy to come back and see some activity here. I think it does help to bring a smile to some of our sisters at just the time they need a giggle.
Hmmm, commercial on for velvieeta - is that even real cheese? Maybe that gave me BC!
-
Patoo, this thread is on my favs. Just as I was reading your post, TV reporter was saying there's a Velveeta shortage. Maybe there will be a reduction in BC in the upcoming months and years.

Velvetta...hum
Nah, it's Cheetos...those orange fingers...smack smack!
Or all the movie buttered popcorn in the giant tub I ate for years as dinner on Friday nights ha ha!
Or those happy hour slider burgers (red meat) & chicken lettuce wrap with soy dipping sauce ha ha!
Or my too small too high Jimmy Chew heels...nah...
But I'm safe...vegan, no soy, GF, no dairy, eating my baby carrots, sipping my juiced fruit&veggies talking with my sock monkey who locked Barbie in the floor safe with the Cheetos
))
-
uh oh. sock monkeys. nothing more need be said.
-
Oh man - I am so upset at these Anti-GMO groups. They are bombarding my favorite greek yogurt now. I found a list of all 400+ foods that have GMOs or are related to the cow that ate a GMO grain. I wish they would give it a break - where do you draw the line with this stuff?

-
OH BOY! I was sharing this with my daughter and I got to let you see this ending she wrote me. It made me ROFL!
"Apparently tomatoes too
Are they organic?? lol!
You know those bees are visiting GMO flowers
And getting doused into roundup in the process! so you're basically eating roundup honey from crazed mutant bees!"
Sorry had to! Love you! Have a good day - feel better."
I love this DD of mine!
-
I actually think Velveeta and Twinkies are the perfect food. They never, ever go bad, thanks to all the chemicals they contain instead of real stuff.
So if we eat them every day, think of how well-preserved we will look in 50 years!!!
-
exactly. i looked way younger than my years for a long time, due to self-pickling adventures in my youth.
-
me chocolate lover
No one ate as much of it then I did
Cheesecake and chocolate for breakfast
Cancers best friend
-
Blessings, I like the way you think! Firekracker, me too, chocoholic here! Can't get thru a day without a bit
-
Oh, the tears. You all have me ROTFLOL but I still think the combination of Velveeta and housework did me in. Cheetos, yeah, ate my fill of them too so, hmmmmmm, maybe.
-
Too funny I remember eating big hunks of velveta as snacks as a child.
-
damn I forgot
Cheese doodles and peanut butter cups
Together
Yup that did it
-
How about the original laffy taffy and junior mints with popcorn at the drive-in movies. Oh the radio waves from those speakers you put on the windows that's what did it.
-
GMO flowers & Crazed mutant bees...honey:)
Radio waves & back seat at drive in...
Pickling...Twinkies...orange Cheetos fingers...
Loud music...sitting to close to the tv or PC
Yes, It's all those rock concerts...you know the ones that your body is still vibrating from the base a day later...yah, all shook up!
-
Oh shoot, now I want some Cheetos.
-
mango passionfruit gummies from trader joes, and dismissive doctors.
-
Oh heck Kath. You just had to bring up TJs. I'm sitting feeling guilty because I just ate wine, fondue & pate from there for dinner. Tasted so good at New Years I went and got more today.
-
oh, my melissa. off topic, i know, but my friend memphis george who is a jeweller, and tremendous artist? and just a sweet sweet soul, well she is leaving town today for good. but it ended up being a truly bitter and sweet day. i woke her up this morning with cappuchinos and jalapeno bagels and to help her finish cleaning out her shop. soon after i arrived there, some other friends of hers brought these pastries, i guess they are from the freezer section at tjs, chocolat croissants, and these other things that were kind of square, but a bit smaller and flatter than a croissant- reminiscent of baklava some how. he called them- it sounded like queen something. not quinoah, queen. darn. so delish! guess where i am going in the morning where i have no business being! see you there! that sounds like some dinner! me i better get busy and start making it, simple green salad- grilled cheese sandwiches, and oops progresso tomato basil soup! easy dinner night. hope it keeps bc away. i think anything we eat that makes us happy is good for us, and im stickin to it!
-
I looked at those pastries but I'd never heard the name and I'm a pretty serious baker but they looked good. The chocolate croissants do too, but I've resisted so far. You put them on a baking sheet and let them rise in the fridge overnight & bake them fresh in the morning. They have almond ones too.
Pick up a jar of Fleur De Sel Caramel Sauce too. It is unbelievably good.
-
ok that sounds like a great addition to my pantry/arsenal! thank you! i only bake pies, and muffins, but i do get special requests for them so i guess i am all right.
-
Pie crust is the one thing I really struggle with.
I made from-scratch english muffins yesterday and they came out really pretty and very yummy.
-
and we wonder how we got breast cancer
Eating all that crap STILL!!!!
And yes I'm guilty too but not as bad as u girls R..
-
o, but firekracker! only once in awhile, for a treat! i amm 5 feet 5 n only weiegh 120! love you
