This new normal sucks....

Just wanted to introduce myself, I think I will frequent these boards in the coming months!  I had a routine mammo less than ten days ago, an US, an MRI and three biopsies later I have a clinical dx of stage 1 breast cancer.  The pathology report on my first biopsy confirmed IDC moderately differentiated - grade 2 - ER+,PR+,HER-, with a low rate of growth.  I am still waiting on lymph node biopsy - us showed thickened cortex on at least two nodes - brca testing and a biopsy of another lesion on the other breast (which I think the radiologist said it is likely nothing). There were two other suspicious areas -one on each breast- per my MRI but the us couldn't see them, so they recommended an MRI guided biopsy which I am not doing, they can send both breasts to pathology after my bmx!        

I am waiting to talk to the doc tomorrow for next steps - I am planning a bilateral mastectomy, I don't ever want to deal with this again. I am 46, I have four kids and no immediate family history of BC. Reading these boards, which I have been doing almost incessantly, has helped and I believe everyone when they say that the diagnostic phase is the worst - especially for a type A like me

I am in central NJ, currently being seen at the breast center in Morristown. Still researching plastic surgeons.  My breast surgeon is Renee Armour, I don't have a lot of info about her but so far she has really impressed me and I like her too.
