Experience with Vitamin C (IV) infusions?

Can anyone give me some feedback on your experience with Vitamin C (IV) infusions? My ND wants to start me on them while I'm awaiting additional conventional medicine testing to figure out why my body hasn't recovered after a horrible bout with a bronchial infection/pleurisy/costocondroitis. She says they will make me feel a lot better, but I'd really like some firsthand feedback from those who have actually done them, as well as any contradiction concerns you might know about.

I had regular C-vitamin infusions, IV, with a group of patients. It increased my energi, apin from terrible
lymes etc.
