Constant watery eyes, PLEEEEEZ help if you can

Hi...I am 7 weeks post chemo...My eyes started to water in the middle of my chemo treatments...That was last September...I figured once the chemo stopped so would the watery, constant runny eyes...I was wrong...This is so annoying...I constantly have to carry a tissue around, find it very hard to see, everything is so blurry I can not drive anymore, can't read or even doing my favorite thing, baking...Even writing this post is very difficult...I finally went to an eye doctor...Said he could not figure it out, so now I am going to see an eye specialist...Please,if any of you has had this happen to them could you write and let me know what you did and what was the outcome...Thanks so much and Bless you all

    My eyes started watering after chemo and went gangbusters for about 2 to 3 months. Tears running down my face all day! I'm now 5 months pfc and the watering has stopped for the most part. Doc said it was a latent SE from the Taxotere I had. Have hope....it does eventually stop!

    I also had watery eyes from taxotere....I used a lot of eye flushes ...two three times a day.  It did stop about 2-3 months after chemo.  

    It most likely will clear itself up...but there is a chance that tear duct is affected... An eye specialist that knows about chemo should be able to help

    I had watery eyes for months during chemo. Turns out I had an eye infection so go ahead and get your eyes checked out by an eye specialist. My lower lid is drooping away from the eyeball and I will need surgery to tighten it back up again and reduce the chance of more infections.

    Thanks so much for geting back to me...I will take the advice from all of you...Tomorrow I will see the eye specialist...I'll let you know what she said...But like you all, I'll  probably have to wait this out..What a pain. Like we don't have enough to cope with...But whats the sense of complaining??...Oh well, this to shall pass...Thanks again, it was really appreciated..You all take care...Hugs

    I'm with the other ladies, my eyes started the tearing during the taxol and continued for several months and then cleared up! 

    However, mine was not so bad that it interfered with my daily activity as long as I had a tissue handy!

    It should have slowed or stopped by now. Your tear ducts may be plugged. My eye Dr. prescribed a steroid drop that slowed the tearing.

    My eyes watered until my eyelashes grew back.  I put it down to dust and whatever getting in and irritating my eyes without the lashes to protect them.

    Thanks Tanya....I have no eye lashes either, so maybe thats the problem...I'm seeing a specialist today just in case...My eyes have been watery for so long, almost 4 months now, I am afraid of infection or clogged ducts...Thanks again for writing...Take care and God Bless

    Hi all...went to see eye specialist today...She said all though my eyes are fine, she was about 98% sure the ducts were completely clogged...She wanted to try and flush out the duct with a needle and saline to see if that would help...I have to say that when I saw that needle it scared the hell out of me, that I backed out of having it done...Call me chicken, I don't care...Just sick and tired of being probed all the time...I am sure that you all feel the same from time to time...The doctor said since she was almost positive that the needle procedure would not work, she did not push it...What I have to do is have an eye surgeon put stents in my ducts...According to her not many surgeons do this anymore because it is so rare...At this point in time it really doesn't matter since I am in the middle of getting radiation...So I will wait until I finish my rads, and in the meantime I will get a second opinion...Who knows, by some miracle maybe it will go away...So there you have it...Will let you all know what happens in the next month or so...I hope all of you are doing well...Take care, and God Bless
