Marie I am done! Tw bras and two bathing suits! What I liked was that it was totally a store for those who have or had cancer. Is Sharon's like that or is a lingerie store like Diane's on S. Granville? Or Bare Basics on 19th or in Richmond? -
Marie BTW, the scarf you made for me is awesome here in Alberta~~absoultely perfect and lots of compliments too. -
Oh so happy to hear all this! thanks ladies! at tad confused..think lol. sharons? where? my bras give me so much pain. & i need a swim suit also.

hi, I used to live in BC many years ago. I lived in Prince Rupert, Campbell River and then Cranbrook. -
Cher, Compassionate Beauty that just opened their store in Vancouver (here in Calgary for 9 years) is at 1683 Chestnut (near 1st and Burrard) and phone # is 604-733-3001.
Had a great time snowshoeing yesterday at Bragg Creek Park near Calgary and dinner with old friends. Home tonight. -
Cher there is also Zammy's in Abbotsford, very knowledgeable both bras and swimsuits, for mastectomy, after surgery and after recon, just bought a new bra $130 ugh, but it looks pretty and I am tired of all the sportsbras
Hi and welcome AndreaJ50 -
Sharon's is in one of the suites in the medical building at 750 Broadway. Just mastectomy customers. Very private and comfortable. -
I bought these two from Sharon's mastectomy shoppe for my trip to California after my mastectomy. -
Marian I am glad you are enjoying the scarf! You would laugh if you saw my living room right now - it's like a hat and scarf factory exploded. -
Thanks Marie, I live in Tsawwassen but I've started back to work part-time downtown where my massage therapist is.. My surgeon is connected to BCCA and UBC so I've been in town often. I too bought a bra at Sharon's - they have a two for one sale in November and have been really helpful. -
Love the suits! MarieK!!
thanks for the info Marianeliza & Ossa!! -
I've not talked to anyone about this, and you all are only ones seems can understand. As I posted the photos of my ab with the lumps a few days ago they (or the bottom one) has gotten bigger & is taking a bit of a different shape.. yep it's all really starting to bother me,& this evening laying on my stomach/side I could really feel how big the bottom one is
I was good at ignoring em for the most part for all this time. but you all understand when something like this is needling you in the back of the mind.
I keep telling myself it can't be anything bad.. but as they're growing so fast now & can't imagine what they could be and the line up/shape etc (they don't move btw) my appt for the ultra sound isn't until Dec 16th, so I guess I'll see if I can get on a cancellation list.
I've not told anyone in the family about them, waiting to hear they're no biggy. Feeling angry that it took 3mths of bugging Dr, arguing with him & then the photos finally got him into action.
Am I being negative thinking a possible scenario of C?
been keeping busy with work & settling into another new home (3 move in a year) & happily putting up Christmas decor

Proud to introduce the handsomest little man ever. Logan made his entrance at 4:45am after making sure his mamma was thoroughly exhausted.. C section after pushing for five hours with no progress (all this without any drugs) my daughter in law is amazing -
Congratulations Grandma Ossa!!! What a sweet little bundleSo happy for you and your family!!! xoxoxoxo
-
Ossa - congratulations - little babies are just so irresistible - he is very, very cute. -
A beautiful new addition to your family, Ossa. Congratulations to all of you! -
Ossa he's beautiful! -
Oh Ossa.. Congratulations!! he IS a handsome sweet bundle of baby!!! so sweet!!! -
Awww … he's sooooo cute. What a beautiful early Christmas present!! Congratulations to you all! -
Marian - will be thinking of you tomorrow - hoping all goes well! -
Friday it is Adagio and I am pretty much ready. Ossa's grand baby is adorable indeed. -
Marian - I realized it was Friday after I had submitted it. Anyway, your wait is almost over!
It is indeed a glorious day here in Vancouver - a little cold, but nothing compared to other parts of Canada. The weather was pretty much like this in 1977 and the only reason I remember that is because my daughter was born on December 5th that year and it was a gorgeous sunny, but very cold day.
I am busy getting ready for my son and his family who are arriving from Quebec with their 2 kids - 7 month old and a two and a half year old - will be a very busy and noisy house for a while, but lots of fun.
Prayers and thoughts are with you for Friday. -
Ossa- Congrats!! He is beautiful!
Marian- hope all went well for you on Friday. I was thinking of you and am sending wishes for speedy healing -
MarieK may I ask how what the pricing was? everything i've got hurts! thinking of maybe getting a cami ?
still needin that bathing suit now that I live where there's a pool but Christmas cost got in the way lol
-
Cher the bathing suits were about $100 each. I guess that could be considered pricey but they are very well made and nice and thick where they need to be (bottom and straps). Also the coverage is perfect for me - what with my radiation tattoos and mastectomy scar.
I'm hanging on to them because even without a prosthetic they still look really nice on. And for suits that are almost 4 years old they are holding up like new!
You might want to call and see if anything is on sale and if they have suits in your size before going in.
Good luck!
-
Cher what did your lumps turn out to be? Cellulitus?
-
Congrats Ossa and family !
-
Thank you ladies he is a joy. Great news my other two daughter in laws are pregnant so another grandchild in May and one in August Exciting times
-
Ossa... that is awesome news - congrats.
-
ossa, wow congrats. Must be the water out your way...:) No grand kids here yet.....Saw a blue heron fly over my house and thought it was a stork...wrong again.
