liver enyzems are elavated

In order to get a discount on my insurance I had to do some blood work. Test showed liver enzymes at 60, they should be less then 40. Doc asked if I had a few drinks before the test. No. Then he thought it maybe Lipator. Took me off that for 4 weeks. They only went down a smidge. Had a CT scan on Friday, still waiting for results. It  all I can think about. Any one else with a similar story? I hate waiting for answers. All I can think about is going on chemo again. I have even been looking at wigs, and wondering how I will pay my mortgage. Cancer is not for the weak.

hi mokengirl... I also have elevated enzymes for 9 mo now.  I'm being sent to liver specialist, but I haven't had any imaging done.    Any news on your enzymes?

Yep, same story.   Had elevated ast and alt , all other labs normal.   Really increased a year ago after starting arimidex ( I had switched from femara)  and onc sent me for a scan.  Scan clean , just fatty liver.  one of them is now high normal ( has taken a year to come down) and the other one is still elevated.     a 60 is just mildly elevated though, at least thats what my onc told me - because one of mine remains in that range, doesn't increase anymore.

We did the testing of meds thing too, went of armidex and tested , took off metaformin and retested.   No real big changes.   Onc thinks its chemo damage and probably the ai's.

My liver enzymes have been elevated at every check up for 4 years now. I've had all the tests, saw all the specialists, and nobody can find anything wrong. The onco said he sees a few patients each week with the same elevations with everything else good also. He said he doesn't understand why, but not to worry about it since it isn't causing any problems.

I've had elevated enzymes for the past 3 months. Got taken off lipitor a month ago and was retested today. I also have fatty liver and this is not the first time they have elevated. Doc is not too alarmed as they are only slightly elevated and thinks it is most likely the fatty liver.
