2 Taxols left, surgery next.

2 Taxols to go, I somehow wish I could take them together, just to get it over with. Surgery is next and I'm sure the recommendation will be for a mastectomy, rather than lumpectomy. My tumor has not decreased as dramatically as the doctors thought it would from chemo. To be fair, I did only have 2 rounds of AC instead of 4, couldn't deal with the side effects and I missed one dose of Taxol, due to my mother's death. It's been a long road to this point and I still have far to go. Just trying to get through one day at a time. I'm looking forward to the month off between chemo and surgery. Thanks to all others for posting--I may not post much, but I read a lot of posts and just having the community here helps get me through.

Had second to last chemo yesterday and the side effects are really ramping up. Foot neuropathy, swelling, high blood pressure, skyrocketing pulse, body aches. I'll be really glad when this is over.

Good deal!  One more to go.  You are a very strong woman.  Now it's on to surgery.  I will be praying for you.  Our stories are very similar.  i am scheduled to begin chemo (TC) some time next week (I'm shaking like a leaf).  With surgery to follow.  Stay strong clickchick!

Thanks so much for your support, Seanie--I really appreciate the pep talk! I'm sure I can make it through one more Taxol and I'm looking forward to ringing that bell :) I was so nervous before starting chemo, every bone in my body was telling me to run in the opposite direction. But, you somehow make it through and it's such a relief when the end is in sight. I'll pray for you, too. I hope you're one of the lucky ones with little or no side effects. You can do it!! Please let me know how it goes for you. Hugs to you.
