I saw her discuss that last night. It makes sense!

I hypered it - maybe you're on an iphone? So interesting what the stupidity of vengeance is bringing up = Opposition Research Dream!

What I find amazing about this Christie event is the never-ending cricket sound from Republicans. Digging a bit deeper, they've actually bought their own propaganda that he is a liberal. It must come down to him hugging Obama - blasphemy for those crazies! Where are all of the sane Republicans that haven't noticed:
Christie hates unions
Does not want to raise the miminum wage (vetoed $1.25/hr increase)
Does not believe in marriage equality
Killed NJ version of the Dream Act
Cares little about Climate Change - doesn't "give a damn" if global warming contributed to Sandy
Cut millions from NJ Planned Parenthood
Sends public money freely to private corporations as hand-outs over jobs programs
Has lowered taxes on the rich despite NJ budget problems
Cut the education budget by $1.2 billion
Cut higher education funding by 15%
He's not even a Moderate. He's pretty much darn hard right, in fact.
This is all great news for Democrats, if not for the users of the GWB bridge. Like Jon Huntsman, probably the only other Republican that could win the POTUS, well, atleast until his true record was exposed. I guess he appeals (barf) to the common man.

I caught the Rachel Maddow piece last night as well. Very interesting since a certain amt. of retribution seems to have turned up in any number of "Chubs situations. My thought on it went all the way back to the Obama hug and the snarls from the right about the deserter in the camp. Also recalling the acceptance speech ( cute little wifey in the background with an ear splitting along with mouth splitting smiley grin -- puke-puke ). Christie likes to get even -- let no foul deed to me go un-noticed or un-rebuked in some fashion.
Quite plausible to me that pay-back can be discussed just enough to be accomplished, ( and known ) but not too many trails. Trouble is......sometimes even if your name is not directly on it, the shoe still fits. It should end up interesting.....who might be the front-runner now. The few who have seemed to have wanted to toss their hat in that direction are abysmal.

Putting this in on the chance that someone/anyone here missed anything having to do with this latest far rt. fiasco:

Must-Read Stories On The Christie Bridge ScandalHere are ten items on the developing
controversy directly implicating New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s senior
staff to a petty case of political retribution.- Timeline of Port Authority’s George Washington Bridge
controversy: A detailed timeline of the scandal dating back to
August 2013. - Bridge Closures Led To Emergency Response Delays, Disrupted
Treatment For 91-Year-Old Woman Who Died: Of the four medical
situations that emergency personnel reportedly had difficulty responding to due
to the unannounced bridge closures, one involved an unconscious elderly woman
who later died at the hospital. - The Four Key Questions Chris Christie Didn’t Answer at His Press
Conference: The New Jersey Governor certainly talked a lot at his
115 minute press conference this morning. But there are still unanswered
questions that won’t make this controversy just go away. - Stories Add Up as Bully Image Trails Christie: The
bridge scandal isn’t the first time that Christie has been dogged by reports of
bullying and political retribution. - Christie Appointee Pleads The Fifth Before State Committee In
Bridge Fiasco: After losing a bid in court to avoid testifying
earlier in the day, David Wildstein, the former Port Authority director of
interstate capital projects, refused to answer any questions about the bridge
controversy. - Why Conservatives Aren’t Rushing To Chris Christie’s
Defense: Christie has been at odds with his party’s right wing
since the final days of the 2012 campaign, and now conservatives are
delighting in the political scandal. - Here’s Proof That Governor Christie Is Still Misleading The Public
On Bridge Scandal: What’s that again about this being a traffic
study? - Christie Administration May Have Violated Public Records
Law: Emails disclosed Wednesday raise questions about whether the
Christie administration complied with a public-records request filed by The
Bergen Record last month. - After Christie Firing, Schundler Fires Back: In 2010,
Christie fired his Education Commissioner, Bret Schundler, for supposedly lying
to him. Schundler says he had told Christie exactly what Christie said the
commissioner had not. Was Christie himself lying? “It’s hard to understand how
when you gave the correct information you end up being asked to resign,” said
Schundler. - Christie’s Carefully Devised, No-Nonsense Image in
Peril: Christie’s brand in Republican politics to this point has
been driven by a desire to transcend partisan rancor and petty politics in the
service of the public good
- Timeline of Port Authority’s George Washington Bridge

Jackie, Christie's presumed absence does makes the prospect for the GOP debates in 2016 most delightful. I'll take another round of 999 Cain, dumbo plagiarist Rand Paul and sweater vest Santorum. Please Palin too!! It was mighty entertaining in 2012. Rick Perry can stay home, though - found him kind of boring, if not downright stupid. I've heard the GOP has shortened the debate season to avoid the clown car fiasco of 2012 though.
-
Yes, the GOP primaries are promising to be another laugh filled fun fest!
-
It's world wide news; we had a whole page spread on Christie and his going on etc. Very critical of his actions.
-
Still think ya gotta be a NJ resident trying to get on the GW bridge to REALLY understand the evilness of this Bozo. The Fort Lee entrance to the bridge is gruesome in the best of times, - LANE CLOSURES AT RUSH HOUR. Oh, MY GAWD - even tho have seen the pics - just can't imagine it.
Jon Stewart was great....
-
Hope all the Canadians are staying warm - the Polar Vortex was supposed to be visiting you today, we're getting ready for 50 degrees and 2 inches of rain, on already saturated ground, should be interesting. The river which runs thru the town near me was SO jammed with chopped up ice blocks, never saw anything like it before - expect it will flood by Sunday...
Sweet dreams all. Still keeping fingers crossed for E.
-
Sunny, temps will be about the same here tomorrow, along with rain! The old vortex is moving way, way north, where it so rightly belongs (and had better stay!).
Heard from E. She's handling the new meds on the trial well, and her wonderful family and friends are ensuring she's being looked after splendidly! So now we keep fingers crossed that these new meds push cancer beyond the curb and well into the street where it will be repeatedly run over and totally quashed by multiple buses and semis, SO THERE!
-
On the bridge tie up - it was also right before Yom Kipppour, and Jersey/New York has a big Jewish population. People would be trying to get to families' homes for the holiday - increasing traffic even more.
Rooting for you, E.
-
-
I think Christie needs to take up off road driving.
-
What a difference a day makes. Well, actually a couple of days. It rained a great good deal yesterday and into the night for a few hours. So much snow is not gone of the 15 inches we had. Some mud it taking its place. Happy for the most part, but I will have to use my snow boots for a day or two or so while we traverse through that issue. Will be almost 60 tomorrow. We just keep jumping from extreme to extreme.
Read a piece....I'll see if there is a link later about Christie maybe holding up. The article ( seems very VALID ) talked about Repugs not being punished like the rest of us are. The only thing is that many are not and have not been happy with Fat Boy for a good while and to date the only ones actually coming to his defense ( in my book ) could as well as stayed home. Inconsequential.

c4c - thanks for update on E. I'll be in the drivers seat of one of those BIG SEMIS. So glad she has such a wonderful support system with her too, that makes SUCH a difference.
It is pouring RAIN, so strange - and in the 50's - and flooding - supposed to be thunderstorms later today. WHAT???? Have to be grateful this isn't ice or snow, but REALLY. One thing about this strange weather - this whole area has a new and HUGE population of SNOWY OWLS. OH MY GAWD, saw one in the woods - these creatures are HUGE HUGE HUGE and so so gorgeous. HUGE. Pic of one in the paper today in a nearby town. Just the MOST majestic bird you can imagine.
-
Hi Gals,
Going off Christie-topic for a minute.
I had my tooth pulled yesterday. OMG ... once the novacaine wore off, it hurt like an SOB. Had to take a couple of pain pills. My smile doesn't look too bad. I was really upset for the whole week that there would be a huge gaping hole in my mouth. Luckily it's on the bottom and only slightly noticeable. My smile is a tiny bit lopsided now!
Carrots ... It's raining like crazy today and all last night. Sunshine and mid 50's are forecast for tomorrow. There is so much standing water all over the place. The ground here is saturated. I'm glad tomorrow will be nice as I have errands to run, but need to be home by 1:00 p.m. to watch the playoffs. My "cutie pie" (that's what Tim calls him) is playing and I've got to cheer him on.
Sunnyflowers ... Can't wait for the sun to come out tomorrow. Yay!! I heard from Enjoyful as well and her daughter was traveling to Boston to spend the weekend with her. Poor E ... she's got to stay in Boston until almost the end of the month. The good thing is the trial she's in is covering the expense of her lodging! She must really miss Sampson and being in her own bed.
That's so cool about the owl you saw. All I've seen out the window lately is some raggedy ass squirrels! Of course said squirrels are driving Tank crazy!
hugs,
Bren
PS .. Can I ask a favor of everyone ... I took an on-line transcription test this a.m. for a psych job. Please keep your fingers crossed for me and positive vibes and prayers coming. Really, really want to work and this would be a great addition to the two clients I already have. It would mean working as a contractor part time for a large transcription company, but that's okay with me! Thank you all!
hugs,
Bren
-
Ask and it is given Bren. Big time hopes, prayers and highly positive energy. Its time for you.
Jackie
Big hugs to E too.
Jackie
-
Bren, prayers and hugs coming your way! You deserve a break. Happy to hear your beautiful smile is still intact.
Glad things are going well for E!
-
Bren - why didn't you heed our advice and run off and get married
naughty girl. I'm glad your smile is ok though. Cyber hugs and vibes coming from down under for that job.
-
Bren---Buckets of Good Vibes for you!!!! A little missing tooth isnt going to mess up the beauty YOU, ever.----kad2kar
-
You guys are the best friends a girl could have! My smile is lopsided, but intact! Ha! I'll get Tim to take a picture next time he's home. Not too sure how to do a "selfie" with my camera.
Suzie ... you cracked me up! Tim needs to be home on a weekday to get the marriage license and that hasn't happened yet. Our schedules are a mess. His weekly insurance premium deduction will more than double if we get married. That's kind of a scary predicament right now. Hopefully, this job will work out for me and we can get on with our lives!
Y'all have been so wonderful to me throughout these troubles I've been having. I really appreciate your love, good vibes and prayers!
Bren
-
Fingers crossed and prayers said for E and Bren.
-
Great news about E - so happy the trial covers "lodging" - in Boston ( Bawstan) that's a biggie!
Bren - all digits crossed. Keep rinsing with warm salt water, or what they told you to rinse with, to keep the "socket" clean til it heals, esp. after eating - no sharp chewing on that side ( meaning give the bones to the dogs!) - the only part of meat I ever like is the sparerib boney bits!
Speaking of Bawstan, if anybody is wishing against the Patriots, don't tell me ;-)
Where is Blue? HI, BLUE...thinking of you, hoping all is well...
-
Hi girls, haven't been on much lately except to read. This weather is literally killing me! Every joint in my body aches! I hate climate change.
-
Blue - warm, warm blankets, do you use electric blankets? Lotsa arnica gel rubbed into major joints, and then keeping WARM....
of course the RAIN, damp makes my aches worse, and my aches ain't nuttin' compared to what you're dealing with....
hope it improves soon....
-
I don't like the wild swings in temperatures.
-
heu ladies. Bren, sorry you had to get that tooth pulled. I remember how much it hurt when o had my wisdom teeth pulled all those years ago!!!
Glad E is doing well on the trial. Hope she can update us sometime soon.
We are currently in southern California and heading inland. We got a hotel for tonight so we could cleanup and of course so we could watch the Seahawks play. Torrow we want to visit the Joshua Tree national park.
Its been a good trip.
-
Just throwing this in.....I enjoyed reading it. Tells much about the tyrant in the White House. Just too funny, but also some memory jogging material too. http://www.addictinginfo.org/2014/01/11/imaginary-reign-tyranny/
