For all those who spent unwanted HOURS in Fort Lee NJ trying to get on the GW Bridge, which of course, had no political connection, the WashPost and NYTimes are having fun today...a tidbit:

Hello....OJ.  Sooner or later, one way or other, now or a little later, the proverbial brown stuff will land squarely in the middle of the fan.  So many smart people  thinking they will not get caught.  I think with the landscape changes via Internet and a few fairly good news sources little can escape.  Not long enough for you to be able to stand whistling far away,.  These guys need to get over themselves and some of their aspirations that tend to allow them to bend their ethics just a tad you understand....because it is so important and I am after all SO perfect.

On a tragic note, a 91 year old woman died as emergency vehicles were delayed, due to Christie's machinations, getting to her. Yeah, she was very old and might have died anyway, but that delay should NEVER have happened. Who knows, if they had gotten to her in time she could have lived to be 100.

I'm thinking criminal indictments for reckless endangerment for impeding emergency vehicles, or manslaughter for that woman's death, or endangering the welfare of a minor (note the jobs about the kids stuck in traffic).  Let's throw in some criminal charges, and those aides are going each other out of the way to make a deal.

I love the Republican lists on how to talk to people.  Maybe they are  in fact, as I've suspected, robots created by the Koch brothers who need lessons in acting human.

Noticed that the email correspondence between Christie's Deputy Chief of Staff, Bridget Anne Kelly (the requester for traffic problems in Fort Lee) was via Yahoo mail and the Port Authority Crony, David Wildstein used gmail to respond to her.   Would they have thought they were going undercover by not using the government email system?

I'd love to watch David Wildstein's testimony before the New Jersey Legislative committee tomorrow (though he's fighting the subpoena currently).  Any ideas on how to watch?? Livestream?? Might it be on C-Span??  Any ideas?

Alexandria -  good observations on the criminal implications.

I think - hope - this has sticking power.  When even Morning Joe is turning against Fats, he's in big trouble - in more ways than one.  The difference with Iraq is that the Republican Administration wasn't about to indict itself, and by the time the Dems were in control, it was too late - we were in the middle of a financial crisis and the last thing Obama needed to do was spend time and energy on indicting Bush officials, however well deserved.  Here, Christie does not control all the entities that could look into criminal charges.  The Senate and Assembly is NJ is Democratic. The head of the Port Authority is looking charges of criminal use of public property, and Christie has no sway there.  The federal d.a. answers to Washington, not Christie.  Nope, I think this aint' going away.

If he oozes out of this, I will be very unhappy.

One thing Christie said that perked my ears was  "what does it matter,move on",in regards to the death of the elderly woman.  Is this statement going to get the attention it did before from someone else?
