PET Scan today-possible positive node

I had a PET scan done today. I looked at the scan with the tech and she pointed out that I had a spot that lit up. It looked like a supraclavicular node, and it was on my left side (my cancer was on the right). She said it wasn't very bright, and may not even be considered "positive", but the radiologist would at the very least want to watch it (maybe biopsy it if it was still there in 3-6 months). My last chemo was in March of this year. I had 2 doses of adriamycin and cytoxan after (at the time of my mastectomy) they found my tumor was "minimally responsive" to the 3 months of chemo I'd had. (I've always worried that since I was minimally responsive-the cancer had more time to circulate) I had surgery on Saturday for nipple reconstruction, and they used the skin under my arms for the skin grafting.  I am REALLY hoping that the node lit up because it was just reacting to surgery....but it was just that one node and I've been on antibiotics the whole time.

Has anyone had anything similar? Hoping to hear from oncology early next week...but of course we all panic waiting. :(

    For what its worth, when I had my MRI after first being dx I was told I had a "suspicious" node that had not shown up on the ultrasound. They sent me back to the breast center to have it biopsied. The Doc could not find the node they were talking about so she sent me home. During surgery the next week they took out the sentinel node plus 2 others....all clean. So it does happen where a node looks funny but turns out OK. Good luck!

    I  had a supra clavicular node 1.6cm this spring after being clear for 6 years.Shocked to say the least. It was biopsied to be sure, thenwent thru 6 weeks of daily RADS.  Finished late Sept. Just had  my 3 month scan and it has shrunk a few mm, so good news. The lung lesion is still 10mm unchanged but not bigger. I see MO tomorrow. I decided to stop Tamoxicen d/ t side effects so will not be doing anymore new drugs.Just see in another 3 months. Changed my diet and praying a lot.
