Stitching the pieces together

Very pretty Alyson.
-
What colour are you going to use to enclose each piece? White? Black? Red?????? It t'will be FAB!
-
got bored so I've started a snowflake afghan............so far so good.
Let's just see how long it takes me to complete it.........lol
-
LOVE the pattern!!! I would love to see it with a blue/gray or wintery (rather than Christmas) background just to see what it looks like. Can you mock me one up???
-
Sure Barbe, no probs. I got red as it was the only lighter color left in the store that had the quantity I was looking for..........it's the middle of summer here and wool is not high on the list for the stores right now......lol. I do go passed a fairly big store on the way home later today so I'll pop in there and see what I can get and do a mock up for you.

Pretty Chrissy
-
Chrissy - very pretty as usual for you. I love the red with the white snowflakes. I keep forgetting to take pictures of what I complete. But then it has been a while since I was able to get up the stairs to do anything. I have learned to tat and am getting better at that. It was a whole lot easier than I thought it would be. Maybe, I'll post what I am wroking on now when I get it finished. Hope everyone had a good Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Hugs to all, AJ
-
You ladies are so busy! I love the snowflake afghan.
-
AJ I would love to tatt but I have so many thing going right now I don't know if I could find the time.......that's just another to add to my list I what I want to do........lol.

I've had so much fun the last couple of days placing online orders with Christmas gift cards. Lots of quilting stuff & cooking stuff. Batting, sewing machine needles, cutting blades, Carol Doak paper piecing book. Judi Madsen's (Green Fairy) new book, a ream of plain newsprint for paper piecing, plus a new compact coffee maker & double burner Lodge cast iron griddle.
-
Lol Melissa you have been busy!
-
I need to be busier because I just cannot seem to make myself finish free motioning quilting one I actually intended for a Christmas gift. I want to start on something new & fun, but am determined I will not end up with a closet full of unfinished objects, so I gotta pay to play!
I've been reading about your Summer Chrissy. I think you're one of the few elsewhere who can appreciate how ghastly our Texas ones are.
-
Melissa I think yours are very much the same as ours and I really feel for you. I cannot imagine living in these conditions with out air con but I know I did as a child and I also remember just what my mom did to try to keep us a bit cooler.
-
-
Oh yes! Always blame the sewing machine........didn't anyone tell you?........lol Blessings, love that parrot!
-
If I had a Parrot the Parrot wouldn't be Rated G...

Growing up here we had an evaporative cooler for the house. One room had a wall mount A.C. unit and that's the room we 'lived in" all summer. It was the room that had mother's sewing machine in it and she and I kept it busy.
-
I used to cry when I was a teenager because I couldn't close my bedroom door because the window unit that cooled all three bedrooms was in my room.
-
new to this thread. Didn't know about it until Alyson posted in another thread.
Here's a project I finished just before my reconstruction started. I need to get another started but with roses. I usually quilt by check. Like making them but hate to do free motion.
-
Hi Smarty,
Welcome, your sewing get away sounded great to me.
Ginger
-
Smaarty - beautiful!!!
-
thank you. This was out of my box. I usually do patchwork.
-
Howdy Smaarty! That hanging is fabulous! Well done you! Can't wait to see what other things you do.
Welcome to the thread!
Love n hugs. Chrissy
-
Smaarty, I love the California Poppies!
I am trying to think of a small project to start, I think a wall hanging might be just the ticket.
-
So glad I found this thread. I'm looking at all the beautiful art you ladies have created, and loving it. I'm inspired to pick up my crochet and knitting needles again. It's been so many years.

Smarty, LOVE the colours, too!!!! More, show us more!!!
-
I knew a lady once who quilted a wall hanging for each season and hung it on her office wall. That's sometjing I'd like to do some day.
-
Got quilt together today. Need another light in the room so will take photos tomorrow.
-
Wow!! What is left to say? Absolutely nothing!
-
very pretty Alyson. All those narrow strips were hard work too.
