Someone tell me if i should go to the hospital or not

ok ill try to keep this short

september... had a blot clot in jugular  vein neck and chest swelled up, put on 30 days of antib's and 90 days of blood thinner shots

1st week of december.... sinus infection... after antib's were finished was still sick... went to see doc on the 23rd...got more antib's, felt a bit better and was able to enjoy christmas...

by the 27th... i was starting to feel worse...still taking antib's but not getting any better. My face is swelling up, i have what looks like a rash starting on my nose bridge and under my eyes.. i have 0 appetite...

god knows i dont want to go to the hospital on jan 1st.... 

but maybe i need someone to tell me too...sigh

i so much just want to feel normal again

    Please, please go to the hospital.   You should be getting better, not worse.  MsP

    thank you MsP ...

    its stupid how my fear of being in hospitals keeps me away...

    my parents both worked in the medical field... my dad an administrator and my mom a nurse. I get very frustrated in the hospital, people treating you like children and being so.... exposed, to strangers really disturbs me..

    Celine - glad you decided to go to the "castle" - I'd for sure get tested for shingles (dh had them after a bout with anti-b's and they gave him something acyclovir - I think - and they cleared up right away).  Let us know how you're doing - sending hugs, S.

    30 days of anitbiotics!

    You may already be taking a Pro-Biotic but if not please  look into it.

    I can handle a short dose of antibiotics (7 or 10 days) without taking a supplement - but 30 days!

    if your never seen avawapui before.....they put in shampoos and lotions! great for hair! I wonder about bald heads!!!

    thanks so much for all you kind and caring words.

    i was admited yesterday, they did a ct scan ...found some more thrombosis near my heart but no blockages. So im back on fragmin....and home again.

    i have a question about the ct report...it says

    "thickening skin right breast with increased nodularity , please correlate withmammography for futher evaluation. Surgical clips in the right auxillary region"

    can someone translate please?

    Celine Flower, they place surgical clips during your surgery in areas where they want radiation to be targeted. As far as the thickening and 'increased nodularity' it sounds like they possibly want you to get a mammogram to see if there have been changes or they want your doc to look at a prior mammogram to see how the CT findings and the mammogram images 'match up'.

    Hmm ok thank you ziggypop..

    do you think the thickening could be another tumor? this close after finishing treatment? (chemo/sugery/rad ended in aug 2013)

    It seems more likely that the thickening might be scar tissue, or an effect from the rads, but if it were me I would call my onc or surgeon and make sure that there is a follow up to put my own mind at rest. I would actually be more concerned about the 'increased nodularity' - I'm assuming that means that your lymph nodes appear larger than usual - of course your sick so that wouldn't be a big surprise. Unfortunately you're probably in one of those awful 'waiting' times when something is probably not something bad but needs to be checked out.
