Chemo & migraines

Options

Are there any longtime migraine sufferers who are going thru or have been thru chemo? What has been your experiences?

I've had migraines all my life, & now 8 weeks PFC, I'm finding that the migraines are all crazy different! My triggers have changed, the meds that usually worked give me SEs (ones that are on the label but that I didn't experience before) & don't work as well, & I get migraines more frequently. Sucks! I have an appointment next month w/the migraine specialist who I've been seeing for years, but I'm wondering if there's more of a chemo connection here. Oh & during chemo, I only had 1 or 2 migraines, I felt crappy in other ways, lol.

It's been a long time since I did chemo, but I remember that post chemo, my migraines were SIGNIFICANTLY more painful, more auras, more often and less controlled by meds. My GP felt that the chemo had just "over-sensitized" everything in my body. It took a long, long time for things to settle down to "normal", aka - pre-chemo migraine patterns.

Yeah, over-sensitized sounds about right! Thanks for the input, I appreciate it.
