Whole breast radiation only or more areas?

Options

With node positive (1 positive) tnbc, should I be getting more than just whole breast radiation? I'm also in prone position, does this not get the coverage I need?  I am very confused now reading some information. I didn't even realize that there was more than whole breast radiation. I thought that was covering my lymph nodes. Any information would be helpful.  Thank you.

I had whole breast rads in the prone position, but my field of coverage was strictly my left breast (due to snb results being negative, 0/3). I am a big supporter of having rads in the prone position, and we both are fortunate that our cimcunstances allowed for them.

Your field of coverage likely will include the nodal area, too. Your treatment plan is personalized and should all be explained to you by your radiation oncologist before you begin.

Talk to your Rad Dr and ask him/her where will be radiated and why.  How many will you have and will you have boosts. We are each unique and our DX is not the same.  Different Drs have different thoughts on what they think is the best for us.  For me, my 25 rads went around under my arm to my back and up the side of my neck.
