Saying hello from the UK from a fellow flattie!!!!

Options

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say hello from the UK and how glad I am that I've found you.  I had a bilateral mx last year in August and am now weighing up whether or not to live a life flat!  I've read a lot of threads from you ladies and I've been inspired, cried and felt like I can move forward knowing I'm not alone! There isn't actually a great deal of information about living flat over here!  I've struggled to find information and have found this community so helpful!

I've made a monumental decision to not wear my prosthetic boobies any more and I put them away yesterday.  My main problem is that I have a big belly so I am losing weight for my own self image rather than for surgery!  They won't do a DIEP recon on anyone with a BMI of more than 30 and I am at about 42 at the moment so VERY overweight!  But having almost made the decision to not have the recon, I am thinking of things a lot more differently.

Thanks for having me and I really look forward to getting to know some more flat sisters!!!!!

Wishing you all a very very Merry Christmas.

Love Viv xxxxx
